2024 Transfer Portal News - Please Respect My Decision

I believe BCS will start a new thread - exactly at midnight - to commemorate the event.
Season 9 No GIF by The Office

not to point out the obvious, and i assume this will change, but it is batsh*t crazy that not a single CP transfer or recruit has declared for the portal yet. a lot of these guys haven't made it as starters but they all appear to believe in the trajectory

most dont want to sit out a year....and those that won't have to still may.

Or they don't want to sit out a year...

EDIT: Dammit BCS.

Ok, serious thought
With the Prime Docuseries, and other things in the works, what if almost all these NFL studs are coming to CU, cause the PT and Exposure will be out of this world and SMAC can hook them all up with real NIL, and we can backfill with our collective on the depth?

SMAC?

@buff4bcs1985 @Uncle Ken point taken, but also... maybe this young roster has been listening to CP and wants to grow and learn and be better next year? sorry i don't have the megadoom gene. but i don't think these players are coasting like they did under happy fun times HCKD, especially with the clear comms and specific direction of the current staff.

to me it seems like this roster sees two paths. learn and get better or lean on your ranking and get replaced. i havent seen this attitude in boulder since the 80s. i dont even see the 5 stars like cormani thinking they can marcus houston / darrell scott their way into a 6th place spot in the big 12/14 (or whatever it is). cormani was challenged and got better this year. CP keeps preaching that players need to be working beyond the baseline and those that do will make real progress.

if we lose omarion miller or adam hopkins or kofi taylor-barrocks or morgan pearson or jordan onovunghe or bishop thomas ... etc ??? then i might get worried. but i think those guys who showed potential and have free transfer years are fighting for their place in the CU Buffs program.

Half those people you listed already transferred once, thus not wanting to sit out a year... its just too soon to tell who is and isnt transferring yet. And remember there are other windows.

Any chance we're actually going to get NIL help from them?

you were correct on Bishop:
Bish Thomas https://cubuffs.com/sports/football/roster/bishop-thomas/16692 (freshman only played 2 games at FSU)

Who knows. It’s a talent agency. Travis, Shedeur and Shilo are repped by them. I would bet Cormani will eventually be. I think it’s more of an avenue once guys are established and have legit NIL opportunities. Definitely don’t see it as any kind of conduit for generating bags for guys.

It should all be used in the NIL pitch, but I assume most guys are just looking for the no risk cash money. Very few actually want to “bet on themselves” because there’s no upside in that relative to just taking the guaranteed cash.

Didnt hopkins sign with Auburn only to Transfer?
i'm not trying to dunk on you, sorry if it comes across that way. i just want to base the conversation on facts. i will be really bummed if any of them go into the portal. i don't live in boulder anymore and dont have any current links to the staff so anything i say comes from being an obsessive listener/watcher of what's available to anyone unemployed and online. read an article about jordan showing well. heard on a podcast that morgan pearson is a beast on the scout team. omarion miller had that amazing game. these are young players who seem to be on the trajectory that we need. i am excited about recruits but also see a roster that is young and hungry and well coached, at the very least in the development and desire aspects (gameday and scheme still to be judged).

SMAC is a huge weapon, and it is weird how they are working this out.
IF we only brought in pure NFL talented kids to CU, then SMAC could completely work with them or their agents to make things really happen for that level of player.
SMAC is real NIL for real talented guys
Everything else in the country, besides Caleb Williams is Pay for Play Bullshyt

Love his spirit and what he did, but not a true P5 TE or WR
What he proved and what he learned is totally worth his chance to go and play somewhere, maybe SDSU
Good luck if he is heading out
Huh?! Complete opposite view of him. At 235 with a 4.5 forty, he's going to get looks, dude. Great player.

I'm not a member of the Doom-Crew. I trust Prime's vision, abilities and intentions.
