Morning buff fans! Wow, yesterday brought out a lot of bad attitudes from a lot of our fans on here and rightfully so. It sucks seeing the buffs lose 3 in a row and look sloppy in all.
I justed wanted to say that there are better days ahead, it's not our year, don't jump off a cliff, but continue to support this team, because it's heading in a direction no other coach except Hawk can take it right now.

So if you want to complain and bitch and say we are not going anywhere and act like football is more than just a game, then go ahead and jump off a cliff and don't come back. If you want to continue to support this team, then look at the future, (we could be cubs fans and say maybe next year, yaaaaaaaay whoopie **** damn muther ****er!!!!!). Or if you see no bright future then check out this video. NEVER GIVE IN SHOULDER TO SHOULDER NEVER GIVE IN SHOULDER TO SHOULDER!!!

But I want to see some asses in the seats for KSU to support this team. GO BUFFS!!!

It is Parents' Weekend, so there should be plenty there for KSU. Probably near a sellout. Would be nice to get a win, so the last two home games against ISU and Okie Lite get good crowds too.

I didn't see the sun at all yesterday. Completely overcast all day lone with a good bit of rain, too.

I was hoping the last 4 games would go better, but not suprised the Buffs came out of it 1-3. It was a tough stretch. KSU, A&M, ISU, and the fuskers are winnable games. Mizzou and OSU... well we'll see.

I'm an eternal optimist/homer when it comes to my team, and I don't think we've seen their best yet. We need everyone there on Sat. to be loud and proud, and make Folsom a nightmare to play in for purple pussies.

I'm with Lips. There is sunshine. Considering the alternatives, I'd rather be a Buffs fan.

The 3rd year of Hawkins won't turn out like the third year of Stoops or Sabin. I get that. It would have been nice to have done better than 0-3 against UT, KU and FSU.

On the other hand, I'm not so sure Stoops or Sabin would have played the hand Hawkins has been dealt at Colorado much differently, given the post-Barnett/Thorp/Hoffman regime change, the financial position and contract limitations of the program. There are only so many scholarships that can be given out. This coaching staff recruited well. But there are not enough depth in the trenches, nor athletisism behind center to beat ranked teams at the moment. The Buffs I was hoping to watch going into the second half included Ryan Miller and MTM , not Head & Itis or Goree. But the coaches need to play the hand they were dealt.

When you look across the rest of the B12, do you really want Briles, Sherman, Pelini, Prince, Pinkel, Brown or Gundy? Of course not.

One more though: Hawkins is 3-0 against teams with new HCs. It takes time for a program to gel, players to mature and injuries to heal.

My barometer game for Hawkins is next year in Austin. For the remainder of this season, I'm confident the staff will do their jobs making adjustments than put the Buffs in the best position to win. At this point, it's entirely possible to finish 0-5 in the north, specially if Sanders or Hawkins end up injured. But I'm ready to see if CU can go 3-2 or better in the North, then render my critism in the off season.

Shoulder to Shoulder.

Any CU fan who wouldn't Mack Brown as head coach is not being logical. Holy ****, his Texas program has been one of the most consistent programs over the last ten years. Who wants that?

Time will tell with Briles and Pelini.

I would think that any fan with half a brain would gladly accept Mack Brown as his head coach.

Gundy is showing himself to be a pretty good coach. And he's a man. He's 40!

BB, I would take many coaches in this nation ahead of Mack Brown. I'm aware that he's won a national championship at Texas and is coaching the number one ranked team in the nation at the moment. On the other hand, he's the premier program right, smack dab in the middle of one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country. USC has a good deal, but even Pete Carrol has significant in-state competition for top recruits (and I'd argue, overall he builds better teams than Mack Brown--2005 aside). The Florida teams beat each other up to gain their recruits. Ohio State has close to a monopoly, but their recruiting ground isn't as solid as Texas' overall. So, Mack Brown has a pretty easy job of it, and in my opinion slightly underperforms with the talent he has. Open your Phil Steele and look at the starters on his team. Almost all of them were among the top 10 at their position, in the nation, as prepsters. How do you not win with that? The challenge that faces Dan Hawkins is to OVERACHIEVE with minimal talent. In my opinion, Mack Brown merely achieves with spectacular talent.

He's won 10+ games EVERY season for about a decade now. How is that not winning?

I didn't say he couldn't win. I actually suggested he couldn't not win. He's done a great job establishing himself as the program in Texas. That's all he really had to do, and the rest takes care of itself.

I'm saying, with our talent and inexperience I suspect DH would win more games than MB. Furthermore, I believe that in the long run that Coach Hawkins would be able to recruit better out of state talent to COLORADO than Mack Brown could. That's why I prefer DH to MB. It's situational.

The guy recruits his ass off. Make no mistake, he had to do a LOT of work to repair relationships with the high school coaches in Texas when he took over. Go back and look at the 15 years prior to Brown taking over. He has absolutely rebuilt that program into a powerhouse. Not to mention he won 10 games at UNC three different times. Any college football program would be lucky to have him.

Exactly. He did a decent job. I believe that Butch Davis will do much more with that program than Mack Brown ever did.

He won 10 games in three different seasons. That is more than "decent" at a b-ball school like UNC.

Speaking of sun I'm just glad you finally saw the light and went back to your rightful moniker.

"Rippin Lips" just didn't work
Now if we can just get Sacky to see the light on his avatar :smile2:

In my mind Sacky looks exactly like V.I. That's the funny thing about avatars; when I have nothing else to associate with the Allbuffer, than my mind defaults to the avatar.

For instance, I thought Wispy was black until he posted the picture of his baby. So glad I finally saw the youtube clip of the "woo woo" guy.
