It's odd to think that this conference has its roots with the Big 8 and the SWC where power running was such a major staple for all of its history. Hell, aTm was running the option last year...
 
Yeah, but every team that runs some kind of option is a pass-first option. To me, that's not really an option offense in the traditional sense.

traditionally speaking, no one runs it. the zone read that UT ran with VY and maybe some of the Roberson/Beasley KSU teams are about as close as we've had (minus Fran at ATM) since Solich got fired, i'd say.

Yea, especially when you think back to the wishbone that OU and NU's power running/option game.
