Major Props to the Oline for yesterdays game

Behrens is hurt and young, Bahr & Solder are young, and Head is seriously injured. Did anyone else see how slow he was getting up after 1 of the XP's? He has got a serious shoulder/Pec injury and is toughing it out for the team this year. I bet most years he would be done for the season. However, this season we have exactly ONE player ready to step in at any of the 4 Guard/Tackle positions. ONE. Anybody else comes in and its a burned red shirt. So props to Head.

I rip on these guys a lot, but I respect the hell out of them. They are playing hurt, knowing they are not ready to take on half the guys they are playing, knowing that everyone blames them for the suckyness of the offense, but they are still PLAYING. and playing hard. They didn't give up and rocked it yesterday.

Mad Props to them. Let's hope they keep cody clean the next two weeks. and for the bowl game

Switching Head to the right guard spot seemed to work well. I hope we don't lose him for the year.

The OL was definitely the key to winning the game yesterday.

I'll give them props for the adjustments and their play in the 2nd half, which was light years better than their play in the 1st half.

Throughout the history of football on all levels the offensive line always gets all the crap during the troubles and limited accolades during the good times. You can always bank on it. For proof, look at how short this thread is complimenting the offensive line.

I've been pretty tired of the excuse that the entire offense has struggled because of the offensive line. Yes, that has been part of it, but some would like you to believe it has been all of it.

So, I guess they are not too worried about OL depth/pulling redshirts because I saw Bryce Givens at half time out by Farrand in a warm up suit walking away from the stadium with some girl. Is that standard that someone redshirting does not have to be with the team during a game?

depends. I have seen Polk in pads. hell Lockridge was in pads yesterday.

who knows his situation? Maybe he's injured, etc.

Even if he was injured, it still seems really weird that he'd be wandering around not watching the game. I mean you'd think he'd at least be a fan of the Buffs, right?

Maybe he is, but the girl made him an offer at halftime that he could not refuse... :smile2:

the football braintrust Ladyblaise is missing in this thread...

that would be for a few reasons:

1. i have no comment about polk walking outside the stadium, with or without a girl, and
2. i have no comment on the eating habits of polk.

wtf do you suppose i need to say? "its a sign from the LORD!"

Ya I've seen Blackmon wondering around campus just about an hour and a half before gametime which is an hour after the players walk into the stadium to warm-up. Maybe it's just a thing for redshirting freshmen

 good catch. the gaffe certainly highlights my point. no matter who it is, i truly do not care where they wander, why, or what they eat.

Unless they wander to an elementary school because they want to kill the kids and eat them. :smile2:

See... this was a thread that started out complementing the offensive linemen. The first couple of posts actually talked about the linemen and then it degenerated into some sort of foolishness.:wow:
See... I told y'all nobody really gives a crap about linemen.

beat me to it Highflyer. Let's hope Bahr has had a breakthrough. He has been the weakest link :(.

Just re-watched the second half of the game. The Olline wasn't as dominant as everyone is saying. Cody got f-ing rocked lots of times and there weren't usually holes for the RBs.

I bet Cody is sore as hell.
