Injuries & their causes

Remember when Barnett fired Doc Kreis, and his reasoning was that Kreis' workouts led to too many injuries?

Are we experiencing the same kind of thing with Pittman? Are his methods leading to injuries?

No problem - I know that thread title wasn't entirely clear either.... I think it is a good topic of discussion

OK, I guess I tend to avoid the board for a while after a loss, and that thread got lost in the shuffle.
Just my opinion here. Neither Doc Kreis or Pittman are responsible for injuring players. Football injures players; sometimes in droves. I am no statistician but some years just end up being worse than others. I believe it is totally random but should be expected given the violent nature of the game. Perhaps we have angered Odin!!!

There might be some statistical correlation. But I think it would be small.

I'm wondering if rotating players in and out the way we do isn't more of a factor. Players get warmed up. muscles tighten/loosen then they are brought off. Couple that with not being able to "get in a groove" and you might have something.

Another thing that isn't mentioned is that Hawkins is like a Mike Shanahan clone when it comes to bringing in injury prone players.

When you bring in injury prone players or players coming off of injuries, is there really any surprise when they are plagued by injuries once here?

the only thing you can blame on the docs or the staff are muscle injuries imo ... thats if they happen often and regularly over an extended period of time. i think were just unlucky this season as most key players (miller, mtm, stewart) went down with serious injuries that can happen

Pittman had nothing to do with Miller getting rolled over and breaking his leg, he didn't horsecollar Speedy, and he didn't sprain anybody's ankle. He didn't tear anybody's ACL with his conditioning or lifting either

Pittman is literally killing our players with his workout routine. This is what my posts will be like literally for eternity. :smile2:

Truth is it's mostly just bad luck, but that's why you need great recruiting to consistently win - you gotta have good depth to reload - we don't.

How do you know I'm not literally a clown. That could work. But I'll assume you are only figuratively a walrus? Does that even make sense?

Good point. Clowns can type. Clowns can play basketball, and clowns listen to hip-hop (in fact it's their defining characteristic). You might literally be a clown--I can't rule it out.

Walruses, of course can't type. So we know that I'm not literally a walrus. Or maybe only 1/8th on my mother's side--it would explain why I don't get cold easily. Actually, I based my name on the Boulder bar.
