Bye Week Buffs Trivia

Perhaps I'm bored, but I wanted to throw out a piece of "Visualization" trivia.

Have a look at the picture which is my avatar (Darian Hagan doing his thing). The question is, during what game was this picture taken?

If you're really good at picking up the details, and you know your Buffs history, you can get it.

Hint: Donovan McNabb's gaffe this week kind of made me think of this trivia question...

I'm gonna say that is Burnt Orange in the background - so it would be Sept. 22, 1990 at Texas: CU 29, UT 22.

I think its a bowl game or maybe the pigskin classic, because he is wearing a logo of something that isn't the big8

 where is the logo? There's a "CU" on his left hip, but that all I can see.

EDIT - never mind. I see on the bigger picture on Butter's user page. I think you're right about the Pigskin classic. all of CU's bowl games during hagan's run were at night - two Orange and one Blockbuster.

the tenn game and the freedom bowl were both played in anaheim

The Pigskin classic was played at the Big A in Anaheim. It has since been remodeled. The baseball dirt was still on the field. Orange was the color of the seats, had nothing to do with playing Tennesse.

Alot of you got it (maybe my hint was too obvious?)

It's Tennessee, 1990

The empty seats are in Anaheim, where the (then) California Angels played. There is a patch on the sleeve, denoting the Pigskin Classic. I've always been fascinated by this game because it is a rare regular season contest vs. the SEC - plus, Mike Pritchard had to play tailback and ran for 200+ yards.

So doesn't the first person that answered it correctly get some rep? :smile2:
