I met them both at the nuggets game. very very polite kids. they were more than happy to chat about the football team, the upcoming game and next year.

they were happy the coaches decided to rotate qbs because it elevated the competition level at the position. they said they are in on a stud wr and big/tall qb in recruiting...not sure to whom they were referring...but the fact they said they will be stacked at WR next year, made me happy.

J Fly said he is 300 all purpose yards away from breaking salaam's single season record. the only bad thing is he didn't really know who salaam was and simas had to help him out.

i told them to go beat the huskers and i told simas that we need him next year....wink wink....

we talked for a good 15 minutes....nice kids. but what struck me the most, based on how they were dressed and how they were looking around in awe at the arena is that they really are just kids. man i'm old.

Good inside info. Glad to hear they are still positive about the program. Clark Evans must be the QB they are referencing. He is huge and a serious duel threat. Everyone in So-Cal is talking about him.

we talked about Kasa and they said it would be hard for them to turn down Florida too....:sad1:

oh and they think that both scott and walters should both be healthy for the huskers.

Good news regarding Scott and Walters. I've actually heard some stuff on J-Fly but i won't post it...it's not good:huh:

worse than not knowing CUs lone Heisman trophy winner....you know....that Salm, Slam, Slammy....Samsonite! That's it!

J-Fly is a handful. His KR/PR performance is electric. All of those all purpose yards are hard earned. He's got two injured shoulders, takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

But there are the bobbles, almost wandering out of the endzone against UT, not mastering the art of fair catch.

There also is the quote following the A&M game about not getting the ball enough after dropping a ball that could have been a TD. It would be great to combine Josh's speed with Scotty McKnight's chemistry with the QB.

Hawkins said something about Josh needing to 'grow up' in one of his press conferences this week. I hope both Josh (and Simas) live up to their potential as players and team leaders.

It would make me breath easier if Ruff's report had Josh in the company of Patrick Williams or George Hypolite in addition to a guy on academic suspension.

Hey, didn't we win after we bashed him and his attitude for an entire week ( A$M to ISU)? IMAGINE what'll happen if we do it for two weeks! I'm looking for any angle to get a W.

How much do his drops have to do with his shoulder problems?

It shouldn't be too much, as I said in a previous thread I have had that exact same injury, it doesn't really affect your strength, its more of a pain issue. Certain motions rather inconsistently will cause sharp pain, if he is taking cortisone shots or the like it should be some what manageable.

I had it too. Worst thing is wiping your ass.

I have only one question for you, Ruff. How charming was Simas's smile and do you think it will get him eligible? :smile2:
