KjSU to return to prominence!

I'm not sure what KSJuco is thinking with hiring Snyder. He is a top notch individual, but they need to rebuild and that is going to take lots of work.

I hope he is up to it.

This doesn't make much sense to me.

Sure, they are bringing back the MAN in KSU lore, but for how long? He retired once - how long before he retires again? Plus, it wasn't as if he was carried out on a chariot - his last few teams were average at best (4-7 in 2004; 5-6 in 2005).

They could have gotten those records out of Prince.

Welcome back to obscurity, KSU

a move that is just weird enough to be Snyder-esque.

though, seems desperate and bound to fail. precedents? John Robinson II at USC?

Damn I was going to post this. Do they think this will help with there class of 22 JUCOs.. They need lots of help as is stated above.

Some of the KSU folks are saying Venables is coming as DC with intention of becoming HC in 3 years...interesting if true

i guess with the Muschamp thing at UT and Tiller at Purdue it's not unheard of...seems weird to see your DC get lit up for 3 years and then hop on board for him as HC.

Venables may be loyal to Darth, but he can find a better situation than that i'd guess this year or next. there were a half-dozen AD's watching OU shut down tech's first 4-5 drives with serious wood.

:lol::lol: Bill Snyder the biggest cheat in the big 12

This is a clear desperate attempt. Makes them look very weak. Let's be honest, and 90 year old man (who isn't JoePa or Bobby Bowden) is not going to be able to recruit in this day in age.

Anyone have any connects to KState fans? How are they feeling about this?

They (KSU) probably couldn't get anybody else who wanted to live and coach their team in the state of kansas.

Why is this "excellent" news for the Buffs? This doesn't make our team any better.
Not directly....but it means our odds of winning against them have increased, thereby improving our record....

What this hire really means is that they could not get anybody else interested in the job...

Hard to imagine. A school with virtually no history of winning, excepting about five years out of 105, and a fan base that now thinks they are 'Bama on the plains, who wouldn't want to coach there?

EDIT: this will be pure hilarity, HCBS is complaining about the internet and "electronic things". He is apparently especially irritated by by the leaks of his re-hiring/resurrection. "Dagnabbit, who told you that?" Alos claims to be considering some, no kidding, "young whippersnappers" from Iowa as assts.:rofl2:

If you thought HCBS part one was funny, wait until HCBS part two gets rolling....

Not happy w/ the decision to bring Snyder back, but was expecting it a couple weeks back when the whole Patterson deal went sour. I truly believe FITZ from GoPowercat is a dumbass and a liar, and Patterson was never offered the job.

However, I do think Snyder will do a decent, not great, job. I hope when he retires next time, we don't have a tightass (see previous AD) or "interim" (current AD) guy leading our athletic department.
