Senior hit day

Found this clip about hit day. Coach mac used to have the seniors call out a player to hit on their last practice as a buff.

i was remembering they just stood some freshman up and let Kanavis drop the major dogs on him. but, those "hits" seem like they were sort of equal. nothing too major.

Those were football players! Check out the big pads and you can actually see he word COLORADO on the front of the jersey. Our guys today look like glorified lacross players.

I'm all for it...Wyo, I'm calling you out.
Fla: Were you there when Brian Dyett called out that poor little trainer who I think may have been mildly developmentally challenged? It may have been one of the worst things I've ever seen. That being said, I am laughing while writing this. Does that make me a bad person?

As far as the "hit" challenge goes, as Toby Keith says, I ain't as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was. I might actually break myself in half at this point though and I'm not sure my heart would be up to it. : )

Where are all of our 145 lb posters now?

Shiiit - I ain't scared. I've got to go up against some big ole boys playing hockey, and I've always enjoyed clearing fighting with them in front of the goal, or mixing it up on the glass.

Not much more dangerous than fat, middle-aged men who can't skate holding sticks and letting their momentum carry them carry them around the rink. :smile2:

Dyet's hit was the year after I graduated. I hit Michael Spalding, our clock and horn guy. His older brother was one of my roommates and Michael always acted like a hippie schmuck to his brother, so I felt no compunction to hold back. He was a bit shocked to take the hit...
