Lockridge now a WR?

With Josh leaving to get a music production degree, does this mean Lockridge should make the permenant jump to WR? With our backfield sitting at 4 deep and WR looking to have many openings, wouldn't it make sense to move over to WR right now. He would be the deep threat on the team, and able to run the WR screen well (if that play is still in the playbook).

Also, who is going to be the KR returner now?

Best guess is that they'll wait to see if Simmons qualifies, and see how the two freshmen pan out before deciding to make the permanent switch.

Best guess on the returning duties would be Stewart.

It would give him a better chance to get on the field on a regular basis. I would also like to see him get a shot at the kickoff return spot, he has the combination of explosiveness and toughness to make an impact there. As a WR I think his experience as a RB would help him to be more effective after the catch which is something we have lacked. He also could be a very effective blocker in the run game from that position. He could also cause some headaches for d-coordinators by lining up wide, in the slot, or in the backfield. For teams that use defensive packages based of the formation of the offense it would be hard to get the right package on the field.

ii say give polk a shot

That might be interesting. He was a hurdler in HS, as well as an RB.

Speed + ability to hang onto the rock = good KR candidate.

i definitely say give him a shot. he's supposedly in the top 3-5 fastest guys on the team, but will still run your ass over.
