Spring 2009 Conditioning #'s

Wow Burton is a beast. I really think he puts an impressive season together this year

How does these results (overall team) compare to the rest of the Big XII?

The weight lifting numbers could be comparable, but unless players were timed using the exact same circumstances - those numbers are pretty much useless as compared to other teams.

And if you saw the weight lifting videos last year... I'll shut up.

My post probably wasn't clear.

I have no idea how CU stacks up compared to other Big 12 teams. I think that you could make a comparison, based on the weight lifting numbers. (i.e. Joe Blow at Texas can bench press 411 pounds, CU's RB can bench press 412 pounds, etc.) The standard is consistent.

But I don't think you can compare times (40 yard dash, etc.) because the standards are different at the various schools.

never end a sentence with a preposition.

I'll argue that he had a colon in the sentence following the preposition, and the item following the colon completed the sentence, not the "at" place before the colon.

This is where we are going: a national championship.

This is where we are at: Folsom Field.

My first impression when I read the post was that he sounded like he was from BF Nebraska (or Oklahoma)....

Of course, he is a great dude...just saying....

as pointed out on rivals, not one dl faster than 5.0 in the 40 (not that big of a concern) and not one wr faster than 4.6 in the 40 (troublesome).

Any word on Josh? Any chance he changes his mind and sticks with the Buffs?

I cannot remember where I read it, but someone said they knew the person who drove him to the airport, so the chances are getting into the very slim category at this point.

What was his destination...LAX?

I can't even remember where I read it. It might have been on allbuffs, to tell you the truth, but I don't know where. I assumed CA, but no idea.

Wonder what the timeline is for the 3-professors and their decision? Suspiciously quiet these days, no updates, no retractions, just silence from all sides. And USC isn't jumping up with an offer, either, interesting.

...but you have no problem with the above? Don't get me started...:wow:
I am the biggest Buff football fan around.....just jacking with my buddy Daahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Living down here in Longhorn/Sooner/Aggie/Tech land, it is very difficult. I would give my left (or right) nut to get the Buffs back to where we belong....at the Top.

Probably Kalamazoo.

Hard to understand his decision....don't think we will see him on national TV again....had he stuck it out with the Buffs, he would have been on 10 plus times over the rest of his career....

Slade is right. It is a bit difficult to compare times, especially with such a short sprint like the 40. Any differences in conditions can make a significant difference in time.

That said, the 40 times for the WRs should not be surprising. Anyone who has watched over the last few years knows we lack speed at that position. On the other hand, I'm happy with the speed at the RB position.

If Burton stays healthy, hes going to the NFL with #s like those. His speed at the spring game sideline to sideline was really impressive.
