4 commits and we're not out of June??

We had three at the end of June in 2007 (2008 class). We had five at that time in 2006 (2007 class).

But Leash asked when was the last time we had 4 recruits by the end of June. Not 3 or 5. Your answer is entirely unhelpful....

All of them did. I was only going off the final lists, so actually we might have had more.

Gotcha, didn't know if Surrency and some others may have been commits and then gone else where. Jordan Wynn was another early commit who went some where else.

Oh I didn't realize that. I always thought 2 was a lot before even fall camp. I never really get into recruiting until the footbal.l season. My ignorance showed.

We're off to a solid start. We realistically could have 1-2 more guys commit before the season.

I keep checking to see Bell from Fairview on the dotted line. 5 in-staters would be huge and we got two more I'd like to see, one on each side of the line.

I think we get a commit soon from Bell. And I think we have a better chance than 50/50 right now of getting 2 more from Bonnell, Onyeali, & Lexington Smith (who I'm surprised doesn't show an offer yet - perhaps a qualifier question mark or something else besides physical tools here). I don't have inside information here.

I just feel like the longer these things go on (even if one of them commmits elsewhere ala Kasa), CU has the edge. A strong season in the fall by the Buffs and the reality of playing far from home will sink in.

I don't see any of these kids going to USC, Stanford, or Notre Dame. Rule out BYU and any "special connection" schools such as Grandpa played at Cal or Mom/Dad are lifelong Nebraska fans. Then it comes down to CU in the end imo.

Is there some sort of unwritten policy that this has to be posted in every single thread? =/

Yeah, let's at least exhibit a little imagination and creativity

DEEEEEEESTRUUUUUCTION!!!!!!!!

That ought to be enough to get you started

was meant in good fun my friend. You had a very similar complaint about the life of its own that the "doom" posts have taken since you started them a few months back. Have you seen the light? I personally still find it hilarious :smile2:

I think it is mostly funny except some people use it in the wrong context. I really do not have problem with people using it, but I'm with Swish, you ****ers need some originality once in a while too.:smile2: See Daaah's thread when we got our fourth commitment for a nice example.

Dear Christ you're a whiny bitch

I'm sure I'll get blasted for saying this...

But I am a slightly concerned that none of our recruits have an offer from any Top25 programs.

One has an offer from KU, and I guess that's getting close, but other than that it's Stanford, Duke, Syracuse, Wyoming and Harvard.

Like I've said before, it's really, really early in the recruiting year, so I definitely won't panic yet, but color me not-so-impressed as of right now. I will say that if we have a season like Hawkins says we will, everything will turn out swell as far as recruiting is concerned.

Like many of us have been saying...until we start winning, I would not count on an upgrade in recruiting from where we are now. I think Hawk has done an incredible job getting the Buffs in a position to jump to the next level...both on the field and in the recruiting battles. But, he has put immense pressure on himself and staff to perform this year (or, perhaps next year if he is given some slack by the fans and media).

Unlike some of his peers who enjoyed at least some success early, Hawk has put himself into an all or nothing position because of the sub-par beginning to his regime (not his fault, because the cupboard was friggin bare, thanks to Gary). I sure hope he succeeds...or, we are looking at mediocrity for the forseeable future.

My bet is on an 8 win season this year, and a 10 win season next year. We will start recruiting with the big dooshes at that point. Hopefully, Hawk won't jump ship for a more prestigous program (or, decide to dedicate the rest of his life to his passion...like coach Mac).

Oh yes now the syko has chimed in. The same guy who actually fears CSU ? I know you are mister play it down the middle on Lamnation but are you ****in serious? Hawkins recruits often are not heralded guys but let the damn man have a fair shake at it before you lament his player recruits. Ps. a chance realisticly is a 5 year cycle okay
