Re: '10 CO ATH (RB) Kenny Bell

Thanks for putting up a profile AJ. If anyone else would like to go ahead. I'll make some changes so all the profiles are uniform. I appreciate all the help I can get.

Re: '10 CO ATH (RB) Kenny Bell

Texas Tech offered him as a corner and I believe that we sent Brown to Fairview for the initial evaluation in May. So, I'd say ATH but with a heavy DB lean.

I think so too. Has nice size and speed, never hurts to have athletes in the secondary with so many teams running the spread.

Fairview standout Bell mulls offer from Colorado
Knights standout so far favors Minnesota

BOULDER, Colo. — Do-it-all Fairview senior Kenny Bell recently received a football scholarship offer from the hometown Colorado Buffaloes.
Bell grew up rooting for the Buffs and was excited by his conversations with coach Dan Hawkins and his assistants, but he's not so overwhelmed that he's ready to give his pledge.

In fact, the Buffs aren't even the favorite among his five offers.
"I'd say Minnesota is probably my favorite right now," said Bell, who also has offers from CSU, Texas Tech and Idaho. "The coaching staff, the facilities ... that's really who I'm most familiar with."

Re: '10 CO ATH Kenny Bell

I don't think he is in any hurry, so I think we have a good shot at landing him in the end. He could be a very solid CB in time, but I think his most immediate contributions would be in the return game.

Re: '10 CO ATH Kenny Bell

I don't know BB. I think if he was going to come to Colorado, he would've committed by now. I think he's heading out of state.

Those home games in his backyard with free tickets for recruits are going to give us every advantage if he's truly undecided.

Would not surprise me either way. We really slow-played him for whatever reason. You would think the coaches would be putting on the full-court press this fall with him being in Boulder and all.

Dood ... not while we are trying to show Mr. Bell how much we care.

Bah - I was all set to go into a long diatribe about how we've been burned by Fairview players before, but I'll let it pass.

Re: '10 CO ATH Kenny Bell

Bell has set up a visit to Texas Tech per Rivals.

"I'm headed out to Lubbock on the 24th of October for the A&M game. That'll be my official visit so I'm excited."

Still isn't ruling out Colorado, but ...

Re: '10 CO ATH Kenny Bell

Bell had his official at Texas Tech this past weekend. Got to see them get smoked by Texas A&M. Did not commit. Seemed to have a good time, though.

Re: '10 CO ATH Kenny Bell

Kenny picked up an offer from the Bugeaters.

CU may not be recruiting him as vigorously as some of us would prefer. (Put me on that list, because he impressed the hell out of me the way he came back this season and made plays after the injury.)

Re: '10 CO ATH Kenny Bell

It seems like this staff goes all in on the big time in state recruits and kind of moves slowly on the rest.

That's generally been my impression, too. We have recruited Martin, Hinder, Spond and Jones very hard from the beginning of this recruiting cycle. The in-state 3* guys, not so much. And we were late getting things into gear with Dillon Bonnell (who became a 4* during the process).

Re: '10 CO ATH Kenny Bell

Yeah, even last year with that Ragland guy, I realize he was a late bloomer and maybe they didn't think much of him, but they did end up offering him. I see it as a bad thing whenever a guy from Mullen, or whatever other in state high school, has numerous offers from schools out of state before CU offers.
