What's everyone doing for the season opener?

Ah yes, the time of speculation has begun and we all believe that this is The Year, for our respective teams.

As for me, I'll probably be getting down to Lincoln around 8 in the morning to start tailgating. Nothing like starting off the season with a Newcastle Brown Ale and a Jaeger Bomb at 9 in the morning. And of course, the game. Since the NU-FAU game isn't until 6 in the evening, that leaves me with 9 solid hours of drinking.

I love this time of the year...

will be a nice chance to say "how ya do" to old Howard once again.

since 81, no? or you guys must have pounded his ass at OU like we did in 96 or whenever?

Coincidentally, old Howard will also be leading up to the game with a solid 9 hours of drinking.... :drink::drink:

Uh oh. I think I just insulted a former OU coach. This could get ugly....

No, we haven't pounded on the old man since 96.

As for "bangin my mama?" Good luck. Tough, crazy Catholic woman.

As for the liquid refreshment, there will be plenty of bud heavy. Newcastle isn't really a beer that's good for binge drinking. Plus, it's a bit on the expensive side.

well, for the opener, i traditionally spend the weekend filling up plastic milk bottles with mean-asparagus and booze piss. that way, i can leave it to age in the sun for a few months before using it to fill balloons for the fusker game.

ah, the joy as i fill the bottles as i recall all the finest moments of years past... bombarding fusker families with aged piss balloons... pelting their grandmas with "marshmellow filled nails""... keying their nasty RVs in the parking lot... yep, it is that time of the year again!:lol:

That might be the best post I've ever read.\

Flying into Denver Wed.
Staying with my sis in louisville Thursday. Probably will head up to Brainard Lake for a hike, then go swim in the Res, and return for happy hour at Mountain Sun during the day.
Quick overnighter up in Indian Peaks Friday.
Going out in Boulder Sat.
Going to the game Sunday.
Denver Zoo and Bonnie Brae Pizza on Monday.
Fly home Tuesday.

As for me, I'll probably be getting down to Lincoln around 8 in the morning to start tailgating. Nothing like starting off the season with a Newcastle Brown Ale mixed with tomato juice and a tamato juice Jaeger Bomb at 9 in the morning. And of course, the game. Since the NU-FAU game isn't until 6 in the evening, that leaves me with 9 solid hours of drinking tomato juice mixed with beer.

Try climato instead.

The day will dawn like any other, but with an aura of expectation not unlike Christmas Morning wrapped around me like an old comfy blanket. I'll wake around 7AM. It will be a Sunday, so I'll walk to the supermarket and purchase a newspaper, bagel, and donut. (bagel for me, donut for the wife). On the way home, I'll pass by a house of known lammie supporter. I'll kick his dog and piss on his doorstep. Once I reach my home, I'll make breakfast - a weekly tradition at chez sacky. Once breakfast is completed, I'll clean up and start pulling out all the gear for the tailgater. You must understand that there is a certain procedure that MUST be followed very carefully, lest all the mojo be lost.
I'll get out the brats and set them to boiling in a beer/water mixture. I'll go and get the tailgate Jeep washed. It won't do to have a dirty car. Around Noon, I should have most everything ready to go. I'll go and take a shower and get dressed, making sure to choose very carefully the outfit of the day. Got to start the year off right, you know. Once I'm dressed and the car is full, I'll have to wait around for a while until the rest of the family is ready to go. Once everybody is in the vehicle, it's off to Dad's house to pick him up. Get Dad and head to the game.

Drink like a fish, eat lots of food that's bad for me, and watch CU kick the living sh*t out of CSU.

And that's how I'll spend the day of the season opener.
