Buffs with Wildcat?

DeNiro

My Dixie Wrecked
What do you guys think if the buffs tried some sort of a wildcat formation. Hansen split out wide could do something. With the running backs we have and the o-line we could pull it off.

I know it is a longshot that we will ever see it, but with Hawk you never know.

This is also something I wouldn't want to see more than like 3 times a game...
:gobuffs: And here is to at least an 8 win season!!!

They sort of did this last year with direct snaps to the RB. I remember Cody going out wide a few different times last year.

I see a form of the wildcat with Darrell Scott taking the snap. He can throw pretty well so the defense cannot assume run. Plus Hansen is a pretty good athlete so they would have to keep a defender on him.

Cody ran the "wildcat" before it was the wildcat in the first 2 years. Cody caught a 10 yard pass at Texas Tech I believe and they sent him out wide with Ellis taking the snap a few times if I remember right.

If it's up to the coaches and Hansen (no injuries) Hansen will not see the field this year.

I have said before, Hansen will see playing time this yr. This kid is to talented to keep on the side lines. Coach Hawk is starting to fill the pressure, he will pull out all the stops this yr to get this team to a bowl game.......GO BUFFS!!!!!

If Hansen is out wide, the RB who ever is back to take the snap can throw it to him running a route, or can throw it to him kind of like a flea fliker situation and he can bomb it to a streaking Andre "Shaft" Simmons  for the touchdown!

Note: Just had some Buff Kool-Aid and it tasted good!

This inside info or speculation? I think the two Qubes share starts and PT!
Hawkins has never been a fan of rotating QB's. He was forced to do this last year, but if Cody preforms well he'll be the only QB all season.

I hope we can place a RS on Hansen. We should've done this last year, but that's another thread.

For a guy who hates the 2 QB system, he sure has a hard time making up his damn mind. I hope this is all about gamesmanship, and the team knows who the starter is, but I fear that's not the case.

I also seriously hope that play where we run cody out wide left with Helfrich.

Hawk has done a very good job of keeping things under wraps. At least for the most part. I think there will be some surprises on Sunday.
