Too many dropped passes. I think I counted Scotty with 2, Jefferson with 1, Geer with 1 (yes I know he is a TE), and Espinoza with 1. Ouch. Maybe it's just rust:sad1:

He cant coach himself out of wet paper bag. I am no convinced that that OU win was a total fluke based on luck, and sheer performance by the players despite Hack's crappy coaching.

One good game out of 3yrs of crappy playcalling does not provide a good support basis to keep him.

I hate to say it man but I think it's that we have very little talent at WR. It's been 5 years since we had a legitimate receiver. All due respect to Scotty McKnight... he's got guts but he's not scaring anyone in the BigXII. He's an undersized possesion type receiver and he's all we've got. Simmons and Simas might be something but with cody throwing his wounded duck passes who can tell? Get ready for about a thousand lateral passes and screens and 5 yard in routes to 'espy' and company this year. Every opponent will stack the line, pin their ears back and dare our tiny immobile QB to beat them.

we have talent at the WR position, **** we have talent on this team.....but we have a QB that cant find his WR in the open, and when he does the ball is behind them.....we have a coach well that cant coach, and cant see that HIS SON is not a QB at this level

I'm not ready to judge the WR position yet. Simas is supposedly the most talented, and he didn't play. Simmons and Jefferson both look to have some talent, but they haven't been here long enough to know the offense and be full time contributers. They'll need to learn on the job, obviously, but I think we have more to see from them as the year goes on. These two with more experience, Simas, and McKnight is a completely different WR grouping that what we saw yesterday.

I do admit, however, that even as they get better, if the Oline and Cody don't make similar improvements, it won't matter.
