Is D. Scott hurt?

I saw on Toledo's scout board that D. Scott was injured and that's why he wasn't called upon more than once to carry the ball. I don't remember seeing anything about this?

He also mentioned a safety that was hurt... who is it?

If Scott were hurt, he wouldn't have been returning kicks.

I think at this point we should be looking at paring down the "rotation" of running backs from four to three. Mr. Sumler, who by all accounts is a decent guy and works hard in practice, needs to be seeing more of the sideline, while Scott, Lock, and Stewart each get a minimum of 10 carries per game, more if we can manage it.

I just don't understand why we would have Sumler in there so much. We need to pound the football... straight ahead, no blocking schemes just push forward and win the LOS

And yet, Sumler is not a bad back for that. But no, they insist on trying to get the slowest players to run twenty yards sideways before trying to turn it up and get positive yards. I know I am just internet scum, but I don't get it.

What about playing Sumler at FB. I know Brehens is a good fullback but I think that would add another dimension to the offense that people would overlook. Summer can block and pick up blitzes so why wouldn't he be able to open up a hole or two. I think it would worth a try. He is decently fast too.

The Toledo board probably said that because it's the only sane reason he was on the sidelines.

D-Scott is gonna transfer, I just know it. I would if I was him ... I just hope it's not to UCLA.

agreed...but what about if they were to use these guys to the strength of their skill. Put speedy and B-Lock on the lateral game and DS and Sumler pounding. Too much lateral movement with the big backs. Although Speedy should see some on the inside with his ability to hide behind the line.

why would he, I dont think he will.....we will see plenty of DS in the Toledo game. they need to move him away from kick off returns and use him as the feature back......GO BUFFS!!!!

watch it, asshole.

you are in violation of the TOS and you are going to get popped if you don't knock off the attacks against players.

just ban him already. True to the name, he has **** on every thread he's posted in.

I thougth we would see plenty of DS in the CSewe game. The fact that he was returning kicks tells me that we were never going to see much of him at RB.

If he was going to get any legit time at RB, would you really risk injury on a kickoff. Especially after he was banged up most of last year.

I don't think him returing kickoffs implied that at all, wasn't Speedy or Sumler back there with him too?

DS returning kicks made no sense to me either - it's like Hackins' way of compensating for not getting him the ball to do what he does best: RUN.

I won't be suprised if Hack has DS punting against Toledo so after the game he can say "well, I got DS the ball more".

Why is it that every sigle fan on allbuffs, every announcer of the CU/CSU game, and anyone with a pulse knows the smart thing to do is give DS the ball, yet our 'genius zen-master' leaves him on the sidelines.

This kid could have gone anywhere to play college ball and Hack rewards him for picking the underdog team by NOT PLAYING him?? Someone tell me how that makes sense please! I'm going crazy watching Sumler get most of the carries

If I remember correctly, DS had 5 kick returns, and the 6th went to possibly the up back.

I don't think Speedy or Sumler were returning kicks.

Seems like Lockridge and R. Stewart would be prototypical returners :/

If Scott was hurt or "nicked up" why did he start the game? When I saw him starting I was pretty pumped up thinking he was finally going to get to show what he could do. He played the first series only, then Speedy got the next three, then Sumler. WTF!!! If he was hurt he wouldn't be returning kicks-PERIOD. I've heard rumors he's dogging it in practice, or Hagan doesn't like him, or other BS. If any of that is true WHY DID HE START THE GAME??? Someone in the press needs to ask Hawkins what is going on and don't stop the hard questions until it's answered and call him on his BS answers. If he's just not as good as the others, again-why start him? Not only are you risking him leaving, but recruiting 5 star players going forward will be next to impossible if they think Hawkins won't play them either. I'm not saying DS would have won the game, but why wasn't he used. One G-Damn carry??? Un-F***ing believeable.

The only thing I can think of is, Hawk must think that Scott hasn't practiced that well and doesn't deserve to be the focal point of the offense yet. Once he proves it in practice then maybe Hawk will throw more carriers his way? And no, I haven't seen a single practice so I am just guessing here.

The thing is though, even if Scott isn't showing that well in Hawks eyes, he has to know that this kid is looked upon as the savior to the program. Hawk needs to at least put him out there and let him sink or swim. Then again, this goes against Hawk's mentality though because if he puts Scott out there and he totally sucks, then Hawk has to make a change and we know he is incapable of doing that.

Good luck Scott, if I were coaching this week, you would get about 90% of the carries and I would run it every play that isn't 3rd and longer than 4.

Give any one of the RBs the ****ing ball enough times to get in a rhythm. This rotation **** is ****ing maddening.
