Reasons Hawk should stay

So if Bohn were to call Hawk into the office and ask him to explain why he should not be let go, what could Hawk say?

we are so close. it's just little things we need to fix. you just don't see it because you're not a coach, coach.

The team is just knocking on the door.
We're on the verge of a breakout
The last pieces are being put into place.
The foundation has been laid.
The horns are coming out.
The guys have their lunch pales and hard hats and are about to get at it
This thing were after is right around the corner
We've got some warriors with samari swords ready to do battle in the B12
Are you a coach?
Every coach has to keep an even keel. I've been thrown in the fire.
I'm geeked to carry this through. Sometimes you have to get outside of your comfort zone.
We have to put those games behind us, not get too high or too low.
It's a few minor details, some small things, and this football team takes off.
This place is a gold mine.
It's not Intramurals, brother. It's division 1 football. No excuses.

I got a new haircut and most boosters are saying it's a big improvement.

I got Darrel Scott here, and by not using him I am ensuring he will stay for the full 4 years (or he will transfer, but come on, probably not)...

I was at least hoping to hear something about how he beat OU. That was great but, the Montana State thing cancels that out.

Getting Scott is something he can point to, but when you don't play him, it just makes Hawk look stupid.

Then there is the player's good grades that I keep hearing about. I guess that is good, but duh, that is what they are supposed to do.

My conclusion is if Hawk does have to go into one of those meetings with Bohn, he is totally unarmed to battle for his job.

Bohn wants Hawkins to succeed. The meeting topic would be "what can we say together to the press to give everyone confidence?"

Because I'm constantly having to put a new staff in place, leading to inconsistency. Help me help you by allowing long term contracts and average salaries.......THROW ME A BOHN......now come over here and give me a hug.

Well there you go.

Yeah. He's had to replace all of two assistants in four years. Grimes and Helfrich. That's not exactly massive turnover.

And if you don't believe me or need more excuses, go ask Cody.

I have a young team. I inherited a mess and basically forced to rebuild this team into a Division 1 team from a bunch of intramural kids. My program is clean, we don't rape our female kickers and then tell them they suck. I don't bet on college basketball games. I don't have any plans to move anywhere else, I like it here. Boulder has the best weed.

Grimes; asst head coach, running game coordinator, offensive line coach
Helfrich; offensive coordinator

Question - what has frustrated you more, our offense or defense?

We had both of those guys last year. Were you pleased with the offense last year?

Dude, why do you think those guys left? They left while the gettin' was good. They saw something with Hack that told if they didnt leave while they still had a job the next year they would have been fired when Hack loses his job and their stock would drop such as it is.

They were on the inside, and knew Hack would fall on his face and didnt want to go down with him. They saw that he sabotaging his own career and gambling with CU with his stubbordness, ego, and personal fatherly/husbandly responsibilities.

I do offer this. The closest Hawkins has come to a sex scandal was taking his wife to see Momma Mia for an anniversarry date.

The guy is squeeky clean in his personal life.
