And yes, this belongs in the football forum.

So we're sitting at the tailgate location after the game, drinking our celebration beer. Not being obnoxious, loud, bothersome, boisterous, destructive, or in any way causing any kind of problem whatsoever. It had been since before the game that any of us had anything to drink (3+ hours), so nobody was becoming publicly intoxicated.

A couple of CU cops decides it's their duty to make sure we know who's boss around these parts. They start harassing my Dad (all 5'10" 150 lbs of 80 year old man) and telling him that they don't appreciate his lack of respect. :wtf:

What a load of garbage. The CU police department was a complete joke when I was at CU. It's sad to see that nothing has changed. Nothing more than a bunch of mall cop wannabes. And they want respect? :rofl2:

CUPD are a bunch of jackasses. Complaining about open containers at A TAILGATE? WTF?

I feel sorry for the students that have to deal with those a$$es on a regular basis.

Maybe someone needs to report them...how many 80 year olds are causing trouble?

I see it as a big nationwide problem...people in authority think their God and act like a-holes. And they wonder why they get no respect?

They were harassing your pops? Unbelievable... he is like the nicest guy at the tailgates!

They are just corporate security guards and have no clue who they supposedly work for. As the corporation becomes more desperate for funding the security guards will be used to generate more and more revenue, more codes and bigger assholes. :sad2:

CUPD is a bunch of idots, but to be fair, this was a Boulder (?) Sheriff that was seeking the proper amount of respect from 80 year old men.

Just to properly paint the picture for you all, the cop was initially in his patrol car and felt the need to get out of the car and come over and get in the 80-year-old man's face and demand respect. But, like I said yesterday, Sacky Sr. could have outrun that tub of lard any day.

Those were BoCo sheriffs?

I guess I never took the time to figure it out. I naturally assumed they were CU cops. That begs the question as to what the fack the BoCo sheriffs dept was doing patrolling the CU campus.

Considering the next place they went was Baker Hall, where the paramedics showed up shortly there after, the real question is why the **** was the BoCo sheriff wasting time busting an 80-year-old man's balls when there was an emergency situation going on less than 200 yards away?

Complete dick heads....I was standing next to one at the corner of Colorado & 28th waiting for the light to change while I walked accross the street...I said "Hello, how are you doing today?" to be a nice citizen & the dude looks at me, gives me a grimaced look and turns away....bout wanted to say "Well **** you too!", but of course that would have landed me in jail as the next alleged Jon Benet killer

Don't the other Police dept's around Boulder help out with crowd control on game days? Just a thought, can't say I ever looked too close at the cops around Folsom on gamedays, as they would probably tase me for "disorderly conduct," the catch-all charge cops use to bully people for no reason.

did you get his badge number? we should start a campaign to get his sorry ass put on adminstrative leave.

nobody, and i mean nobody, has any business ****ing with sacky sr.

:sad2: :censored::wtf:

Hey, the FBI just arrested a father and son terrorist team in Aurora. Just sayin'.

Sacky -

It was great meeting you and the some of the other All-Buffs. Your dad was cool. Those cops need to get a life, to get respect. They must have been former security gaurds at chucky cheese's. Sorry to hear about it.

How dare you disparage Don Knotts like that. :smile2:

They should have reached into their pocket, got their bullet, loaded up, and shot your ass![/QUOTE

They tried to, but put the bullet in backward and almost shot off their teabags, good thing their testicles hadn't descended yet!

Boulder cops are out of control! They actually arrested my son for disorderly conduct.

i am in no way doubting the veracity of your tale. there are so many stories like this... but, i am wondering what i am missing?

they rolled up in their car and then just randomly leapt out and harrassed a senior citizen?

could we get more of a play by play because i am confused as to what escalated it like that?

Cops pulled up and shouted out the window that you can't drink after the game is over and we need to leave. Sacky Sr. says something to the effect of "we're just having one celebration drink than leaving." Cop apparently thinks Sacky Sr. "looked at [him] like he was an idiot" and "failed to show him proper respect," because he gets out of his car and walks over to Sacky Sr. to explain this apparent lack of respect and make clear that he doesn't want to "have to give an open container ticket" to the 80-year-old man sitting calmly in a fold up chair. A second cop showed amazing cop skills by standing on the other side of us, you know, just in case the 80-year-old man decided to bum rush his fat ass partner. Sacky Sr. told the cop that he respected the cop but not the rule the cop was enforcing. The cop then felt it necessary to point out that his job is to enforce the rule and if you don't respect the rule then you don't respect him. Sacky told the officer we were done and it was all good, and the cops reluctantly got back in their cruiser.

The best part, another group of tailgaters not 25 yards away were all kicking back with their Miller Lite cans without a single word from these justice fighters.
