Man, Mahnke and Burney just looked AWFUL last night. The sky cam didn't help their cause at all. Did Ray Polk play much last night? I don't remember seeing too much of him. We have got to get better safeties out there.

Polk is quick, but doesn't know the defense that well, looks lost a lot when he plays, but he makes up for some of it with his quickness. Give him time.
 
Mahnke has really gotten a lot worse which makes me wonder if we overrated his limited good-play last year.

Why isn't anyone pointing out the real problem?

The defensive line is brutal... they leave everyone out to dry. In particular, the Defensive Tackles are just blown out of the way right from the snap. No disrespect to Devine, but christ... Mark Mangini could have run through those holes up the middle.

I have to question why Eugene Goree was left off of the travel squad :wtf:

Who the hell doesnt look lost on our defense? Beatty and a select few others make plays, the rest act like this is the first football game they have ever played in. To me it looks like they are thinking the game too damn much instead of just flying around and getting to the football.
