Is it worth it for Bohn to keep getting us on ESPN

My Dixie Wrecked
Everyone says its great for exposure and recruiting, but after these loses mount up, Toledo, WVU, next Texas then Okie Lite, people will have seen us lay 4 - 5 eggs on national TV.

Yes, we obviously see that we have done a sub-par job recruiting team speed. Being on ESPN actually makes a huge difference in recruiting, losing or not... The truth is, a lot of 17 years olds look at how much a team is on TV when choosing a school. Doesn't make a ton of sense, but I promise, it's important.

Bohn did a great job with it this year. the Sunday-Friday thing was clumsy but a team ready to break out and win 10 games and not have excuses that's on exclusive national TV 3 of it's 4 first games out the Thunder Chute (tm) is a real chance to grow the program with recruits and a far-flung national alum base unusual for a state university.

that we pissed down our legs all three times in a variety of ways is not on Mike Bohn. other than he hired the guy.....but, it was the right hire at the time.

Definately worth it....we need to start worrying when we're never on ESPN...which at the rate we're going in the Win column over the past 5 years, may be soon

This thread is missing one important response....

"We'll See"

But really, for every 10 players that sees this product on ESPN and says WTF, there is one talented player that says 'I could start early'.

And there are a bunch of less talented kids that say "We could walk-on there and play against some serious competition!"

It's always good to get the exposure - as previously mentioned, kids want to be on TV on regular basis and they can get that at CU, even though we're out of the national spotlight these days. That's pretty good that we've had 3 of our 4 games on national TV despite 2 of those games coming against non-BCS schools, and the Wyoming game was also available to most people who have cable or DTV.

Everyone says its great for exposure and recruiting...

Its great for recruiting all right... Just not for CU! If a kid has dreams to play at the next level, he'd be foolish to come play at CU. We will have a team of nothing but walk ons...

Good ol' Juicebox is destroying our FB program. It will take years to clean up the stain the Hawkins family will leave behind.

Bohn does not have the balls to ****can the bastard either. $2.6 mil to buy out the SOB would be a bargain compared to the losses we will see over the next several years with this joker at the helm.
