Attrition

If Hawkins isn't gone after this season I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of players jumping ship

I don't think so, the word I'm hearing is that the kids he's brought in are of high character. I'd be surprised if those kids turned tail and ran away.

I'm already thinking one player is gone for sure.

For sure. DS isn't going to make it to the next level if he stays here. He might not anyway but he's not even getting a chance here. Now that Speedy has emerged as our every down back DS will probably cut his losses. UCLA is probably looking better and better to him now.

We have had around 5 each offseason, so it wouldn't surprise me to see the number in double digits

The attrition after this season will hurt worse than our final W-L record. Scott is gone IMO, and others will jump too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it in double digits. And well represented by players currently in the two-deep.

Of course, with the ****ing 'groupings', the entire roster is in the two deep.

I've already accepted the extreme likelyhood that Scott is gone after the year. I don't even blame him, he honestly should leave. After what he did against Toledo in the first half, he has like 4 total carries since. Unacceptable.

I thought we were at rock bottom in 2006. I was wrong. We aren't even there yet, but we are headed there quick.

Why would he stay? He gets little playing time here; I'm sure at many other programs he'd at least get 10+ carries a game and a chance at the NFL.

D-Scott isn't going anywhere.

I would bet Scott has ALREADY been on the phone with Josh Smith (his nephew, uncle or whatever) to get a feel for the style and receptiveness of Neweasal about a transfer to UCLA.

For those wondering, you can MOST DEFINITELY use your redshirt on a transfer season. Happens a lot.

This is the BS that drives me crazy about college FB. It's becoming like the NFL, where if you don't like your situation all you have to do is transfer in the offseason. Excepting a coaching change, I can't see any reason why a player should get to back out of their commitment.

Crack? Liquor? Pot? What drug are you on? I want to know! We are NOT going to have double digit attrition.

Okay, then neither should coaches.
