10 wins and no excuses....

I honestly dont think 10 wins is possible in any year for Colorado until we reach the strength of Texas or Oklahoma in the Big XII

Sure it is. It depends on our Non-conference schedule and what teams we play in the Big XII south. 10 wins allows for 3 losses. 13 games when you include the bowl game.

Hawk's been here 4 years and we've barely won 14 games and many of the games we've lost to have been to teams that we use to stomp all over.

10 wins in one season isn't happening anytime soon

Well football's got one win, the soccer team has a couple, volley ball has a couple. We're on the path...

No it's probably not. But it won't take a Texas, or OU caliber team to get to 10 wins.

We'll get the rest of the wins in basketball they'll pull in 2 or 3 and then our "CROSS COUNTRY" team will bring home yet another National Championship! Woohoo!

I finally figured it out.

What hawkins really meant was our opponents would have 10 wins with no excuses.

He never said that... come on now...

LOL

I just went back to the transcript that Plati posted in order to show that "10 wins" and "no excuses" were nowhere near each other in the speech.

He's right, I guess, but there's something I didn't pick up on before.

"Win the Big 12" and "No excuses" are right next to each other.

"I think about some of the kids that have sacrificed on this team, things they've gone through, that's pure genius. That's what it's about. It's not all rosy. It's not all great. It's not all perfect, it's not all fair. But you hang in there, you slug it out and you know what I am going to get up to bat again. You going to strike me out, I'm going to get up to bat again. To me that's awesome. I am very proud to be the coach here. I know get things are in front of us. I know that we are doing get things in this program. I know we are doing the right things, we are emphasizing the right things that all the great people in history have done to be great people and to graduate and to win the Big 12. No excuses in '09 guys. None by Coach Hawk. None by the Buff Club. None by the faculty. None done by the regents. None by the fans. Let's fill it up. Let's do it right. God bless you, thank you very much and Go Buffs."
