What pisses me off about CSU

This happens every ****ing time they beat us. They look lights out against us and then **** the bed the remainder of the season. Losers of 4 straight with a blowout loss to TCU yesterday.

This is why I would almost rather play them later on, they get the biggest advantage playing us first because we ARE their super bowl and they work all off season for us, while our sights are on the Big 12 and other fish.

****ing frustrating!:sad1:

They actually should be better than they are. They have given away a couple games after building double digit leads. They still have a decent shot at a bowl game.

One thing that struck me after I saw the score was, while Patterson is not the first choice of many on this board as a successor to Hawkins (if he is replaced) Gary Patterson does know how to beat CSU and handily at that..

They are still a bad team that we should have beat.

They're mediocre, they will finish right around .500 like they did last season. It is okay to admit that they were simply a better team (and most likely still are). I know you're super confident all of a sudden, but the first two losses were not flukes by any stretch.

I know we should have beaten them, and we didn't. The losses early where on the coaches not havign this team prepared. I just get sick of having close games with csu or losing to them when cu turns out to have a better year. BTW, they are not gonna finish around .500. They are NOT a good team and thats whats frustrating to me, THEY ARE NOT A GOOD TEAM!

I love how their fans talk **** about us after they win, and the next game they can't even fill their own stadium the next week. **** them.

if Hawk fails to get to a bowl, i'd take Patterson in a heartbeat no questions asked. GP starts with D and would recruit the heck out of north Texas.

You might want to check their schedule. Very possible they could win four out of their last five. They have had one bad loss to Idaho, but they have also lost to BYU, Utah, and TCU. Those three teams are good, doubt we would beat any of the three. Not saying they're the greatest team by any stretch, but they're better than you give them credit for.

I already did, I follow ALL college football like flies on a rib roast. CSU will beat SDSU and NM. Wyoming will be the game that they likely put at .500. They are not a good team.

So what makes them so bad in your eyes? That three of their four losses have come against top 20 teams, two of them being on the road? We play TCU on the road yesterday and I'm thinking the result might be a little bit better for us, but not by much.

Based on their collapse. And TCU is not a Texas or OU type team, good yes, but not great. CSU is not that great. They would finish in the bottom of the Big 12. They would lose to everybody in this confrence. CU should have beat them. They also have an annoying fan base that I have to live in and deal with on a daily basis, you don't! That doesn't have anything to do with the team, but trust me, they are not that good.

Ahem, let's not get carried away here. We could still finish at the bottom of the conference. Just find it funny that you say in another thread we're not a bad team right now at 2-4, but somehow CSU is horrible at 3-4.

You also are underrating TCU big time.

Because things change in a season smart one!

Teams change! CU is improving, CSU is not, that was my whole ****ing point to start! BTW, CSU lost to ****ing Idaho, yes they are doing good, but they are still Idaho. CSU also got blown out by BYU and TCU. And they should have lost at home to ****ing WEBER STATE!!!

TCU is a good team, CSU is not. CU is not a great team, but they no longer suck!

Until we climb above .500 and erase the bad taste of CSU and Toledo...we suck.

I've always been against wanting to see Boise and Utah and such teams in BCS games, but I honestly think TCU would hold up against almost any team in the nation. They're the second best team in Texas right now.

Better based on what? They beat Weber State when the QB dropped the snap and fumbled with 15 seconds left, trying to center the ball in the field to make the 20 yard field goal easier? That was a LOSS to WEBER STATE.

They lost to Idaho. They have lost 4 straight. They are going in a different direction here.

I guess the Weber State/Idaho games even themselves out. They won a game they should have lost and lost a game they should have won. Still maintain they're a decent team, nothing special, just decent. A lot of teams are going to look bad playing the top three MWC teams.

Toledo beat Northern Illinois yesterday 20-19. I think we made a couple of not very good teams look very good.

We lost to csu 6 weeks ago, shouldn't we set our standards higher than what csu does or doesn't do? Could we beat them now? Maybe but, we just won our second game and you seem to think we've turned it around and everything is a-okay.

There has been improvement since the wyoming game, especially with the defense, but let's beat k-state on the road before we crown ourselves north champs . :smile2:

You could say the same thing about when cu plays NEBRASKA.:smile2:

I did grad school at CSU and work with a bunch of big time CSU fans. The simple fact is, even if they don't want to admit it, their season is judged based on how they do against the Buffs.

Their off-season preparation is focused on CU, their season ending evaluation is based on CU, their budget is based on CU. When the beat CU their donations are up and their alums pay attention to the program, lose to CU and no matter how they finish they talk about how they got screwed, should have beat, were this close, etc. to beating CU.

The front page of their fan web site contains the words of their fight song which is worded directly against the Buffs. They don't do this for Wyoming (who they claim is their big rival) Air Force, BYU, etc.

Very often win or lose they have major letdowns in the weeks following the CU game. Historically they have underperformed in the games following the CU game, win or lose.

The simple fact is that this year and most years CU should never lose to CSU. The problem is that the game means something completely different to them than to the Buffs. Until the Buffs and the coaching staff start to recognize this situation and act accordingly we are going to have some embarassing results. This year we had no business losing to CSU and I think the game then screwed us up and we were then completely unprepared for Toledo, another game that we had no business losing.

Excuses are for losers, doesn't matter what CSU does leading up to the game. CU plays in the Big 12 this aint the Mt West bruthta.
