CU fans are on top of the world and all posts regarding the poor state of the program and about all the reasons Hawkins has to go are forever gone (at least until there is a 2 game losing streak going again).

AND;

The Huskers lose a game on national television to a team they probably should have beat. Yea, that's what I said. I think most Husker fans know it has only been 1-1/2 year since Bo and his staff came aboard, and there is much to do to get to where they want to be.

Yes, I see the Buff band wagon is going full steam ahead.

Good luck against KSU next week! The Buffs may need it the way the Kittens are playing.

Actually a Superfecta yesterday: Buffs win; DirtThieves(OU) lost; ND lost; Fuskers lost; Mizzou lost; New-weasel lost!

Life doesn't get much better'n that! (Anybody read the comments in the St. L and KC papers? They're starting to turn on Pinkel again!)

Making ****up? No way!

Just read the posts in the last 3 weeks. But it's O.K. for you to wear your rose colored sun glasses today, the party ended at sunrise.

You know, nebraska has a pretty good chance of beating Kansas.

Sadly, because of the CU loss, they won't be a top 20 team anymore; the husker futility against the top 20, which extends back to the 2001 season will continue. You may thank the Buffs.

AND Ohio State lost to Purdue (Dad's alma mater).

Yep! I think you may be right.

Just think the B12 North is a bit crazy right now. NU, MU and KU take it in the shorts, while ISU, CU and KSU win.

WTF is going on here?

KSU game will be tough indeed. NU will smoke ISU next week. People aren't letting me be encouraged by improvement, **** them!

I will come out and say it, I for one still think Hawkins needs to go...the team rallied around TH and the fact that KU has beaten us the last 3yrs. But this coaching staff still looks lost at times, not making the right adjustments at the half when you know KU is going to make them. It will take a miracle (bowl game this yr with a win, BIG 12 Championship game next yr) before I start to look at Hawkins staying around....GO BUFFS!!!!

kNU has only a very slim chance of beating the Fighting Manginos, even if they're not Top 20!

Hawks are way better'n than T-Tech, offensively and defensively and that weak Pink Shirt "D" will not contain Briscoe and Meier half as well as the Buffs did in the first half. Nor will Mangino make the mistake of trying to establish his running game again, unless Sharp is a full-go, which he was not, last night!

I won't even mention the pitiful Fusker "O", woefully tutored by the wonderful Shawn Watson!:puke:

"Weak Pink Shirt D" ? This comment alone tells me you know nothing about the Nebraska Defense this year. They are the real deal, just look at the defensive stats for the T. Tech game for proof. T. Tech was held pretty much below all of their Offinsive production stats by a long ways.

"Pitiful Fusker O". Once again you show you know little or nothing about the Husker Offensive situation. There is lack of depth and experience in the I-back corp, not to mention the QB depth is still lacking, oh yea, the same goes for the WR's too. But I will give you a "C" for effort on this one because of Watson. The guy is a great coach, but we will see how he works things out in the next week or two. Can the guy make the needed adjustments with the players at his disposal for the rest of the season.

You are quite the anthropologist. From which mail order institution did you learn your craft?

You sure have us all figured out Dr. Hartley, err, Surveyor. Congradulations.

Interesting tidbit; I talked to two Husker fans today while I was hiking in my local mountains. We talked about our games and the wife brought up a ludicrous, yet unintentionally comedic situation. She said that we will have to deal with Watson because we are interested in him as a HC.

I laughed and said, "Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. We had him before you and let him find his way to corn fields. There is a reason why he/we is called/call him Short-bus Watson."

She didn't get the short-bus reference but she was laughing also. Her husband was not as pleased. I don't think we would ever hire him. WAY too much history there.

 hire him for what?

I agree. I don't remember the exact time in the game, but towards the end KU was driving and Hawk was freaking out trying to call time out. One of his assistants had to come over to him and let him know KU already had called time out. He just kind of looked at him with a look that said, "Really?" Dano had no idea. It ain't intramurals, brutha. Pay attention, dips***.

If cu loses to k-state, it will be back to normal concerning hawk.

Winning 1 out of every 3 games on average is unacceptible. If Hawkins were to miraculously go undefeated over the next dozen games, he'd just be breaking even. At that point, the bandwaggon picks up some steam. It's a fusker fantasy to think knocking off a ranked team is all it takes to please CU fans. But then again, what does the younger generation of NU fans know about beating ranked teams?

Knocking off KU this weekend was a pleasant surprise, as was upsetting WV last year and OU the year before. But one upset against Kansas doesn't change the outcome of the CSU or Toledo or WV or UT games.

CU is occationally dangerous in the role of the spoiler.

The best thing about beating KU is that Colorado is playing for more than pride. The Buffs are not mathmatically eliminated from playing in the CCG.

I think his other name was "Booger Picker" :smile2:
