in one week Hack has gone from #1 coach in the Hot Seat to #8, huh?

What? I mean, it was a nice win, but by no means does that forgive him for the CSewe and Toledo debacles or the nepotism w/ his son over TH.

Unless he wins out I still think he should be gone.

Troo, but Hawk's got beaucoup more job security than Kragthorpe right now. Also, Al Groh beat Ralph Friedgen in the 2009 Pink Slip bowl Saturday. Hawk's got positive momentum this week.

That is the downside to winning...

I am about ready to give up on Hawk...

careful what you hope for...

I hope he wins and wins often. I don't want to start this crap all over again with
"well these recruits are not coach X's so he's not responsible/accountable"...

that's just four more years of waiting and wishing.

give it a break. enjoy the kansas win and hope hawkins turns this around and heads off to future success. pinkel didn't have it all figured out right away either - now he's a genius.

winning sucks.
 Not at all. But for those of us who remain unconvinced DH is the man for the job, winning is great in the short term, but makes us wonder what the future holds. I suspect Dh will be here next year too, but I've seen enough misfires that I have a hard time seeing him accomplishing much here. Hope I'm wrong....

:yeahthat:

I am still convinced that the best thing for this program is for Hawkins to somehow figure it out. We need this team to get on a roll. Hopefully they can rally around TH, finish strong and get a decent recruiting class for next year.

I don't want to start the rebuilding process all over again.

I think we have a good head coach. His record is comparable to Mangino and Pinkel following there first three years...Weve had two solid efforts against ranked teams...and he does have Bill McCartney's endorsement.

I believe the jury is still out. I agree, what's best for the program is for Hack to get his shhit together and turn it all around and compete every year for the Big XII,

BUT I dont believe that will happen (even though I would love to be wrong), and I think we will continue to struggle and the excuses will continue until he gets fired.

wings,

He's still listed on the hot seat, it just got a bit cooler is all. That seems about right to me.

ok, perhaps, you're right, I guess beating Ku does cool down the seat somewhat. But losing the next two should have it blazing hot.

Juicebox better win this week. KSU is a bigtime douche bag team. They don't have anywhere close to our talent. If Juicebox loses to a 70 year old geezer who is dying from some disease - I'm not kidding you - take a look at Snyder, he looks like death warmed over - Hawkins should be immediately canned. No next week, no next year - out, finished!

McCartney said give him 4 years. This is year 4.

No worries. It's about to Pop. We're close. Just keep on plugging. Keep working hard and do what we do.

And get our horns out. And dig deep. Can't forget those two very important elements to winning football. Digging deep and getting your horns out. Never, in the history of college football, has a team won anything without first digging deep and getting it's horns out.

And correcting the little things.

Getting the horns out and digging deep don't mean crap if you forget your lunch pail.

Gotta remember the lunch pail.
