Seems that we are not the only place with little patience. A week ago, NU was going to the MNS game and Bo Pelini could do no wrong. One good beating at home and they are ready for a QB change, a new O-Coordinator, questions on their boards about what type of offense they should be running, etc. etc.

I hadn't realized that against BCS opponents, they have failed to score in 12 of their 14 quarters of play...

I guess after the Solich patience they showed and then the Callahan debacle, fuses are shorter over there.

My avatar is a pic of Pelini blowing up with one of his weird faces. It's only a matter of time before this guy does something he regrets........ How he didn't get kicked out of the TT game for arguing incessantly is beyond me.

After Monday’s practice, Pelini said he doesn’t care about what the fans say or if they boo him and his team.

He said when the fans and media earn the title of head coach, they can make the decisions. Until then, he said he and his staff are calling the shots.

I saw this in the Daily today and after reading it, I was kind of expecting him to ask whether the fans and media had kids next...

Shawn Watson's a genius when the going's good and the devil once his bag of tricks empties. I would think Bo knew what he was getting into when he accepted the job. No bonus points for being more likable than Callahan.

And it also looks like TT's not as bad as they were made out to be, but after last year's outlier they are back to being another pesky 8-4 team like every other year under Leach.

I heard a lot of "booooooos" during the TT game from the nebraska crowd. And no, they weren't saying "Suuuuuuuuuh" unless the crowd enjoys lowing his name in unison following a particularly poor offensive play.

Look, I know that Colorado fans aren't above booing our team, or throwing the occassional marshmallow-filled-nail and piss-bomb, but hey...we're pretty honest about it. Don't we routinely hear that nebraska fans are above booing their team, or anyone else's for that matter? It's that kind of hypocracy, combined with the recurring belief that the college-football world owes them something because they were very good for 40 years, that just warms my heart toward that fan base.

God bless'm.

This.

But wait... any second our resident fuskers will be shrieking about how classy they are and how we have no business even commenting on their troubles because we suck. Somebody call them a waaambulance.

i'd agree we are pretty honest about ourselves (for better or worse).....but the NU hypocrisy is pretty funny. the greatest fans don't like to lose. surprise.

none of us do. if i could count the number of times NU is "back"....they dumped on Frankie Solich and now he's an icon again. Bill Callahan invented the forward pass and was poised for more than one "breakout years"...talk about kool-aid. and now Saint Bo is back to getting waxed at home by the Pirate.

let's not forget that Bo was coaching the OU D backfield when USC hung 55 on the Sooners.

It's easy to jump on the bandwagon and sing kumbaya in unison when you have just won the Sunbelt, I think we would all be the same, but when a little adversity hits we all become mortal once again.

Buffaholic , not that it matters , but I think that Bo avatar is when he was blotto on bourbon street celebrating the lsu nat, championship.

You are correct... and the picture is always good for a chuckle.

Just think of the difference in personalities between Pelini and Osborne. Pelini's multiple expressions of madness compared to Osborne's perpetually constipated look.

I feel the same way, this guy will do something stupid on the sidelines and that will be it....

yeah, that's what I thought when I chose it but I've had 163 corrections from the Husker faithful....

I believe your avatar is actually a picture of Pelini celebrating LSU's NC a couple years ago.

Personally, I think he's a great coach. Clearly an asshole, but that kind of goes with the territory.

I think he is a good coach. Not sure his assistants, particularly on the offensive side of the ball, are very good though.

Allegedly that photo is from New Orleans right after LSU won the MNC and supposedly he was drunk. Someone recognized him and snapped the pic.

If you take the "Welcome Tigers" banner in the background and the two people in purple Im guessing it was a booster function or the hotel LSU was staying at. Hence the casual dress. Which makes it extremely doubtful that he was intoxicated. Its just a bad picture.

I've always liked Bo and thought he was a firey guy.

Im not surprised at all that they play very well on defense and puke on themselves on offense (Watson?).

Firey...ok. He looks like he's about to pull out a chainsaw and butcher everyone in sight. When the bloodbath comes don't say I didn't warn you.

I found this stat to be very interesting, not only the fact that they've played 3 1/2 games against BCS opponents  but they've done so poorly against them. Looking at ESPN's stats, they have failed to score in 6 of the 12 quarters against BCS teams, and have only scored TDs in 2 of the 12 quarters. So at this rate, they get a TD every game and half the rest of the season :smile2: This from a team that was supposedly going to run the table after the loss to VT.

Wecome, Sho.

Ragging on Nebraska... always a solid choice for an opening post.

Rep.

Say what you want, but BoPeep has this going for him...he has nostrils large enough to snort metropolitan Cincinnati.:wow:

I would almost expect this kind of a statement to the fans and press from Hawkins.

Li'l Bo clearly has a bad case of the Whine-Flu

Nebraska fans have torn every coach they've had limb from limb. They turned on solich, they turned on Callahan, they even turned on Saint Tom on several occasions and almost ran him out of town. And now, just as we predicted a couple of months ago, they're turning on Pellini. How long before they start saying that he's "not a Nebraska guy"?

When they lose to us in November, he's going to have a rather unpleasant offseason.

Not going to happen.............:duel2::smile2:

Fans were booing the refs in particular at the end of the half. If you can't boo the players, boo the refs, I guess.

Have you heard any of the asinine questions the Press asked? He was far more kind than he should have been.

About like that D-bag radio guy was to Hawk last week.
