CU AD two-for-one MU game deal

Make sure you all tell friends and work associates about the HOMECOMING deal. We need to have Folsom filled up for the game.

homecoming is the promotional code, i whiffed on mentioning that.

you can get 2 for 50$ in the EZ or upper level.

Makes you feel good about the cash you dropped on season ticks and the "donation" you need to make for the right to buy them. My seats in 106 row 39 seem pretty expensive right now. Win this weekend and against Missouri and I will not complain.

Go Buffs!

I was just thinking the same thing, although your donation in 106 tops mine in 108.

Bought mine.

Buffs are 3-0 with lady friend/me in attendance in the past 14 months: W. Va, Wyoming, Kansas.

You honestly aren't a little embarassed about your AD having to do a 2 for 1 to sell out at homecoming?:finger2:

Obviously I'd like to see Folsom full for every game.

But to be embarrassed by something I've got no control over? Perhaps you're taking this stuff a bit too seriously. I've often suspected that the people of nebraska don't just enjoy the game of football like the rest of us, but are actually validated by the success of their team. As if somehow the accomplishments of the kids on the field make them better people. Your comments make me wonder if you fall into that category.

Hell no. I'm thrilled that our AD is doing everything he can to get butts in the seats. Listen, it's no secret that CU has a history of mediocre attendance. The way to correct that is by getting people in the seats any way possible, and hoping they like the experience so that they'll keep coming back. CU isn't NU. We can't simply throw open the doors to Folsom and say "C'mon in boys!". We need to be more creative because there are several other options available to the general public.

At 2-4, those seats aren't going to sell themselves. The man's gotta do what the man's got to do. Nothing wrong with a business man being a business man.

When you park your keister in Memorial Concrete Monstrosity stadium, aren't you slightly embarassed to be wedging youself between two High Fructose Corn Syrup-fed wide bodies in the bleachers?

How would you feel about it if your AD added an extra inch or two between the seat numbers to cut down on some of that Husker intimacy? What if everyone in the stadium dropped 20 pounds, too? And what if your AD lowered the ticket prices? See where I'm going? You gotta put up with pressed flesh if you want to cheer on those huskers.

Let me put it to you this way. Would you rather pay more and stand in longer lines made up of fatties in a place that has middle American cruddy weather and views grain elevators? Or would you rather pay less to stand in shorter lines with skinnier, healthier people in a place with a dry and mild climate and better views?

Don't even get me started about the difference between Ralphie and Lil Red.

But hey, if you want to wear red polyester and overpay to get stuffed into the Gray Fat Lady Memorial stadium to watch Huskervision and Lil Red bouncing on his head in front of a bunch of tweakers and crusty humorless farmers who stuff their pockets with govenment subsidies and take their football and themselves waaaaay too seriously, then knock yourself out.

What is there to be embarassed about again? Just think of all the extra beer those CU fans can buy with all the money leftover from the 2 for 1.

I wish you all would quit quoting that pinhead...it jacks up my ignore-inspired peace

Really? Confronting misguided goobers is all part of the fun. Bronc hasn't been around long enough for me to put him on ignore yet. Who knows what hilarity will ensue with this troll.

Anyway, here is a message board link that looks to be peaceful.
