the team looked lethargic all game. ...like they didn't even care.

how in the world does this staff still have their jobs?

fairbanks' teams could generally at least score some points. this is really, really sad to watch.

we deserve better than this.

the staff is completely clueless. they have absolutely no idea how to plan, execute, or motivate. that was a crappy kstate team, but they've got a real coach. coaching matters.

these guys need to go back to the minors and stay there.

this is division one football, danny.

this is the big 12, danny.

putting his kid back in was just the cherry on top of the **** sundae they've been serving to us for 3+ years.

Can you justify the highlighted portion of your quoted post?

Second road TV game of this year that the announcers pointed out that CU looked like the didn't care on the sidelines.

The inability to get kids ready to play on the road is an absolute joke

So true liver, that KjSU team is god awful but they have a coach that puts their players into position to make plays..

We have juicebox.

I don't know about you, but I sure as **** deserve better than this....

I was kind of joking, but somebody's team has to lose. What does a fan base do to actually "deserve" something?

"Deserve" is bit of a trigger word for me.

No doubt we looked terrible today, particularly on offense, and what makes it even worse is that it's not like we lost to a good team.

I didn't get to watch the game because I went to a funeral. Sounds like I had a better time there.

I just want this miserable era to end. Just scrap everything and start over.

We don't even have to scrap everything. We have pieces in place, just get us goddamn coach

I've supported this uninspired and poorly coached team for too long without calling for Hawkins head. The fact of the matter is someone must be held culpable for the sad, sad, sad state of our program. He needs to go. I'm tried of the "little things" not going our way beacuse he can't coach them. I'm tired of a rinky-dink offense that can't find a identify. I'm just tired. peace out.

I decided to revive this thread since new information has come to light. It looks like Juicebox lost us this game before we ever left Boulder.

i did here the play by play guys saying they talked to our players and they said they were very tired hawk woke em up early all week to get ready for this early start....i see that did help !!!!!!!1

Yep, they said he woke them up every day this week at 6:30. Pure genius, seeing how most college kids don't go to sleep until 1-2 am most nights...

I can confirm, 6am workouts, with regularly scheduled practice until 6:15-7pm

I have neighbors on the team... We usually hang on week nights and get together to watch The Office on Thursday nights. Total exhaustion forced us to postpone. :sad1:

I guess that the 10:30 am kickoff (9:30 with the whopping 1-hour time zone change in Kansas) was Hawkins' key to the game. No way a simple Friday night curfew would have done the trick or anything.

In defense of the team, just being in Manhattan, KS sucks the life right out of me, too.

Got your math wrong. It was an 11:30 Kansas time kickoff.

Thanks. That would have helped my point, too.

Anyway, the team having to get up early all week certainly wasn't the only reason it was listless. But it sounds like it was a contributing factor. When you put it with some travel and a coach/staff that doesn't believe in firing up a team before the game or revving things up on the sideline, it's a perfect storm for having a team look like it would rather be doing something else.

They came into the game with some interest, it appeared, but seemed to return to this lifeless-listless world soon enough. They played two games with 29-minute 1st-Halves, but they didn't even last this long against K-State.

I don't know if the team's unprepared. It DOES look like this coaching staff is completely unprepared or unaware of fixing problems. I kept waiting for last week's 4th Qtr rejuvenation to occur, but Coach Hawkins' decisions seem to castrate all interest.
