Tyler should have been pulled.

Tyler should have been pulled from the KSU game.

Voted no, but even if he deserved to be pulled, Cody didn't deserve to be put back in.

No. Put the game on his shoulders unless he throws 4 picks in a half or something else completely unbearable. If he gets hurt when we are down, well, it's part of the game. Playing musical chairs at QB = no confidence = no burden to bear when you lose. If he loses the game for us, well, so be it. That's part of growing up that Hawk always talks about...and it's not like we can salvage our season given how well anyone is playing right now.

We put Cody in last year and won against ISU, but failed to get bowl eligible. We should have just let Hansen play out the rest of the year. They can do that this year.

No, he wasn't playing any worse than little Hawk did in most games (and not as bad as Cody did in several when he played the whole game).

All things fair he should have played the whole game and been given as much chance to succeed as Cody has been given.

You morons don't get it. It isn't Tyler or Cody. They are the same. You seem to believe that Cody is the problem and Tyler is the answer. That is just not it. The problem is the coaching staff. Tyler/Cody, Cody/Tyler. No difference. You idots just hate Cody because of who his dad is.

Assholes,idots... blah blah blah... The poll question is should he have been pulled. Tyler deserves the same time as cody and he's not getting it, RICHARD HEAD.

No, for the last time, you're the one that does not get it. Cody had his chance, he did not get the job done. Tyler deserves the same chances. They have burned his redshirt two years in a row, only to go back to Cody both times. Do you seriously not see why so many people are pissed? Stop playing devil's advocate all the time and calling out other posters because you're the only one who seems to "get it".

You don't get it. Or maybe you're deliberately missing the point.

It's about giving Tyler a chance to develop and prove himself.

It's about how we've been forced to watch Cody past the point where we had exhausted all patience with him.

It's about Dan Hawkins making a stupid personnel decision that doesn't help the team on the field while pissing off every fan and booster (plus dividing the locker room).

The only moron here is you....pull a Ralphie and go into hiding until you can think straight...

The answer is "yes, he should have been pulled." He was totally lost out there. It became clear to me that he is no better than Cody. Never will be. As a matter of fact, Cody is better at reading defenses. Which isn't saying much. They both are very limited. Hawkins should never have allowed his son to come to CU. Of course, that is hindsight. But neither of our QB's has what it takes. And now we are ****ed. Get rid of DH. Bring in a big time coach. A couple of million extra a year is worth the price. No more of this "coach on the cheap" ****.

I think there is some degree of truth to this.

If Dan Hawkins had Vince Young - Dan Hawkins would run the exact same offense he is running now, and likely have similar results with it.

The problem isn't Cody v. Tyler - the problem is the offensive philosophy BLOWS. Tyler Hansen isn't a drop back passer. He's got wheels. ****ing use them! Lets give him some plays where it is DESIGNED for him to run the ball. Lets see some more of that spread read option that actually was fairly successful against Kansas the week before.

Today it was like the coaches took every single thing that was successful against Kansas, and decided they weren't going to use any of it. Tyler Hansen (and Cody Hawkins for that matter) are only going to be as good as the offensive game plan. Unfortunately, Cody Hawkins' game plan peaked against OU back in 2007, and Tyler Hansen's game plan peaked last week against KU.

Tyler may lose his job next year, but he's a better athlete than QB and has more upside. He's not a better QB, but might be able to buy some more time during broken plays and given our OL that might be a difference maker. For all we know Lobato or Evans or Hirschman may be our QB next year. Cody didn't get it done; Tyler didn't get it done today. We know what Cody can do. We don't know everything that Tyler is capable of doing...yet.

There are certainly more problems than just QB, but Hawk is letting Cody become fodder by putting him out there. The OL should not be as ****ty as it has been. If it was halfway good Cody might be damn good and we wouldn't have had to burn Tyler's RS. It didn't happen. Time to move on and try something new. Let Tyler take the blame. Let him grow up. For all we know Tyler has given up on this staff after the bull**** that was done today. I hope not.

We aren't going bowling.

So now Tyler's peaked, isn't going to get any better and will always suck?

Some of you guys are unreal.

Cody has 5 and 7 step drops. Hansen isn't very good at that. No zone read plays? Seriously, with Tyler? Hansen is taller and yet can do a short 3 step drop (slants) pattern?

We have no idea how good Tyler because he has played in all of 5-6 games, most of those after he was on the scout team for a good portion of his true freshman season and the others when he was getting the back-up reps. That's the whole ****ing point. Cody is a known commodity and has been given every opportunity to fail. Tyler is not getting the same chances. They may very well be the same, but we really won't know unless Tyler gets some experience. Cody reads defenses better? Well no ****, he has played a LOT more! Where do you think you get better at reading defenses? Sitting on the bench? Where do you think you get better at running the two-minute offense? Sitting on the bench?

Sorry for all the "idot" ****. We need a change across the board.

Hansen's performance against Kansas was better than anything Hawkins' son is capable of. He's going to struggle at times due to lack of experience, but deserves the opportunity to get that experience. Hawkins on the field is total surrender.

Say if Hawkins was fired, what would he be doing if he got a gig with another team? Offense was supposed to be his mustard, but we haven't seen any of it at CU. So I doubt he would get an offensive coordinator job at a BCS school. Our receivers, still need some polishing, and don't seem to show that they've been "well coached". Juicebox is likely too arrogant to take a position coach job at another school, anyway. And this guy is our head coach?

i think th read to many of the paper clipings all he did was look and scrable all day long like he forgot how to throw the football..with that being said te and the wrs couldnt catch the ball...he needed to be pulled !!!

I am not saying it should be Cody or should be Tyler ... but when you pull Hansen's redshirt a second time in a row, mid-season no less, he should get to play ONE COMPLETE GAME..

Okay, how about one-half of one game? He didn't even get two full quarters.

Not fair. We got to watch Cody make endearing mistakes for quite a few games without a break. Let Hansen learn from his own mistakes, not watching another QB.

If they weren't going to commit to Hansen, they should not have pulled the shirt and then reneged so quickly. THAT's why I voted that Hansen should not have been taken out of the game.

NO. Hansen has a better chance of overcoming the **** coaching and play calling than Cody period. Cody has thrown 11 PICKS already in 5 3/4 games. He sucks and should not be allowed on the sidelines. If you want him to help "coach" Hansen that's fine but do it from the coaches/press box. NO helmut, NO jersey, NO leap frog. The final gun of the *ebraska game should be fired in the general direction of DH to hurry his stupid ass along.:bang::gun::gun:
