Nebraska Game Hypothetical

This is based in some reality that's been posted elsewhere on Bohn's mindset.

Let's say that Colorado loses its next 4 games and is 2-9 entering the Nebraska game.

Let's also say that Mike Bohn somewhat bows to pressure that week and says that Hawkins needs to beat Nebraska in order to save his job.

Would you want the Buffs to win, knowing it meant another year of Hawkins?

Finishing 3-9, I would think Juicebox would be gone whether or not he beats NU. But maybe I'm just wishful thinking.

I never root against CU winning games no matter what the reason, but if Hawk wins the rest of the games this year, I would be disapointed if he was back next year.

why the **** would Bohn say that at 2 and 9? It accomplishes nothing but limiting his options.

Would never root for the Buffs to lose. Doubly so against the corn. Still want Hawk gone no matter what.

Any hypothetical that has Hawkins back for another year is unpalatable to me.

If he's here next year I'll have a hard time even looking forward to the season.

And that is what Mike Bohn needs to understand. Keeping Hawkins after the 2008 season was looked at as questionable by most outside observers. But Hawkins still had the overwhelming support of the fan base to see what he could do in Year 4. In fact, nearly all of us expected significant improvement this year and a bowl game. A number of us and the guys on the team thought that possibly we'd even be a bit ahead of schedule and challenge for the Big 12.

It's all different now, though. CU football is a joke to outside observers as long as Hawkins remains the head coach. The players no longer believe in him (or at the least it's a divided locker room). Fans expect a losing season if he comes back next year. Bottom line is that if Bohn does not fire Hawkins, most everyone will conclude that CU no longer cares about winning football games.

Exactly.
I can even see next spring and next August:

Hawkins; "Yeah were having some great practices, things are really coming together"

Me; "Yawn, where have we heard this before".

My pick for the Buffs next year with Hawkins 4-8

I'd want him gone regardless.
