Wants to be a QB? What do you think Valdez, BB, and Buffnik? 3 star demanding to be a QB with his size, I just don't know. Looks more like a CB or WR but I know nothing about his skills or upside.
His height and weight on Rivals is listed as verified. That said, even though it's still somewhat short I'd agree on giving him the opportunity to try out for QB. You never know, he could be the next Pat White. If you watch his videos, it looks like the 4.3 - 4.4 speed is legit. Kid's a burner. But he's also got a big arm. My concern at QB is that if he's listed at 5'11" on scouting services, that means he's probably 5'9" or 5'10" at the most. Definitely worth a shot because he's got everything but the height you'd look for. My feeling is to give him a legitimate shot at your most important position and if he doesn't make it he can happily move to a different spot and still be a playmaker for you. So, yeah, I'd recruit him as a QB.
Whatever happened to picking an offense and sticking with it? I thought we were looking for pro-style QBs.
CU will be getting a visit per Scout.com.
Huh?
Supposedly, every single interview up to now when he said "Colorado" he meant Colorado State. Rivals (Adam) realized it when he was speaking to Wray today and Wray said he really likes Fairchild. Precipitated a "Huh?" moment and then it turns out that Wray is going to visit CSU in a couple weeks and isn't planning to visit CU.
He was supposed to visit CU early in Oct. but one of his games was rescheduled. Couldn't determine if he has scheduled for a visit or not.Detchauz Wray the 5-foot-11, 175-pound, three-star quarterback/wide receiver from East St. Louis Senior High School (Ill.), has narrowed it down to Nebraska, Colorado, and Arizona and plans on making a decision by the end of October.
Wray was supposed to visit the Buffs on Oct. 3 but had to cancel after one of his games was rescheduled for that date.
probably picking AZ
... the Buffs are recruiting him the hardest. “I think I could play early there,” he said. “I know they’ve struggled but that’s not the most important thing for me.”
Although he says that he’s narrowed it down to three schools, the Buffs and Huskers may have the inside track over Arizona for Wray’s services. “I don’t really know Arizona as well as the other two,” he said.
well, OK, I stand corrected. Hmm, well I hope he picks us then.
