If he gets in I hope we give him a RS year at QB. With Will Jefferson impressing at WR i think we can let him have a go at QB.

Quick question Jasper, are you going back and doing this again for the entire 2009 class?

I think any discussion about 2009 players (aside from the players who are not officially practicing like Moten, Simon, Nuckols) can go in the CU Football Forum now since they are officially on the team. Let this forum focus on 2010 recruiting now. JMO.

I think that Ambrose and Brown are going to be fighting over him. He's an athlete and a playmaker who could excel in the slot or as a DB. I'll be very surprised if he stays at QB after the spring. That said, if he does make it as a QB that's great! It would be awesome having a QB with his elusiveness.

Most of the 2009 player profiles were deleted that didn't have current posts. I am just adding back in the '09 players who committed to Colorado, but do not have profile threads up at Allbuffs.

It will take about a week.

Another one of the 2009 class bites the dust. Anyone know if he is greyshirting or just moving on... :sad2:

Just another reminder that Hawk needs to win and have a succesful season in order to bring good talent that will actually get into CU.

The reality is that we are still under the 25 guy limit. Given we are not exactly upperclass-laden, we can put the scholly to good use this year if we can show some progress, which is a foregone conclusion.

I expect we won't be battling UW for the last few guys this year.

It turns out that Moten will be enrolling at CU in January. Ringo posted a teaser article on Scout and will have more up later. I'll link once he does. But...

good news! think he still gets a shot at qb? i totally forgot about him. if anything else he brings some athleticism to the squad.

 Only 9 weeks late

Doubtful he would have helped this year anyway. I'm just happy that we're getting another athlete into the program (and that Moten got his academics in order so he can pursue his college degree - good for him).

Nice. Finally some good news after being disappointed. If Celestine makes it back that would be cool as well.

Here are some quotes from the new Scout article:

- Josh Moten told Scout.com he will enroll in classes in Boulder in January. Moten said he recently received his acceptance letter from CU after retaking his college entrance exams and scoring well.

- Moten said he is aware the coaching staff in Boulder is on the hot seat. He said he plans to be a Buff regardless of who the coach is, but he hopes it is Hawkins and the men who recruited him.

"I don't know how that will affect me playing quarterback," Moten said of a possible coaching change. "What I'm focused on is getting up there and doing whatever I can do to help my team win."

Now that is exactly the type of person we need and want at CU. Well done Josh.

One member of the 2009 recruiting class also finally made it to campus Wednesday. Quarterback Josh Moten, a product of Narbonne High School in Harbor City, Calif., signed with the Buffs last season but was ruled academically ineligible during the summer because of questions about his test scores on his college entrance exams. He took the test again in the fall and was approved to enroll.

I'm glad that Josh has things squared away. Good athlete. I'm eager to see where he ends up playing. Wherever, he'll perform.
