I'd say Mizz is low probability. They kicked us around again this year, we've shown no indication we understand how to stop them and they return Gabbert (who this time might be playing with 2 legs instead of the 1 he beat us with).Should win:
CSU
Baylor at home
KSU at home
Hawaii at home
ISU at home
50/50
KU at KU
Mizz at Mizz
Low probability:
OU in Norman (highly unlikely)
GA (GA has loads of talent but who knows)
TT in Boulder
Cal at Cal
NU at NU
I see six or seven wins, realistic case.
Should lose:
CSU
Baylor at home
KSU at home
Hawaii at home
ISU at home
1/99 should lose
KU at KU
Mizz at Mizz
Low probability:
OU in Norman (highly unlikely)
GA (GA has loads of talent but who knows)
TT in Boulder
Cal at Cal
NU at NU
I see six or seven losses, and six or five more losses...realistic case.
How I see things playing out
- Colorado State - We win this one
- California - Road game, We lose
- Hawaii - Win
- Georgia - Loss
- Missouri - Road game, We lose
- Baylor - Loss
- Texas Tech - Win
- Oklahoma - Road game, We lose
- Kansas - Road game, We lose
- Iowa State - Win
- Kansas State - Loss
- Nebraska - Road game, We lose
4-8 is my guess.
Remember, for all of Hawk's failings (and there are many), he always seems to coach the team up against Texas Tech. I wouldn't put that in the "low probability" category -- especially with it being at home.
T-Wheat and Dizon stole that game in Lubbock for us. They're gone, brother.
One of those 3 wins was at Folsom.Luke, yup. HORRIBLE days! I tell ya, when I have to even THINK if CU beats Baylor, gag... "Why bother? Why f'n bother?!!" It's like Airport Security strip-searching li'l ol' ladies. Man, when the bluehairs start flying planes into skyscrapers, it's time to just toss the lot and let the cockroaches have their shot at the earth's surface!
Anytime a game against Baylor is a discussed as a mere 'probability' - my my.
Of course, when I factor in my belief that Art Briles has demonstrated more quality coaching than Hawk has, lordy...
Briles recruited a fairly decent dual-threat QB to his U-Hoo job, then got that recruit to follow him to Baylor for a Big 12 Frosh Of Year award. This is one strong point for believing Briles' ability to recruit high-ranking recruits and use them positively and repeatedly. This is far better than Hawkins has done with the nation's #1 RB recruit.
Fortunately, Baylor has only won 3 road games (3-53) in their history in the Big 12. Thank Mizzou for giving up that 3rd one, just this season. Surely Hawkins will not give Baylor - CANNOT give Baylor - a fourth road win. Surely. Shirley.
Should win:
CSU

KSU at home
Hawaii at home
ISU at home
50/50
KU at KU
Mizz at Mizz
Low probability:
OU in Norman (highly unlikely)
GA (GA has loads of talent but who knows)
TT in Boulder
Cal at Cal
NU at NU
I see six or seven wins, realistic case.
THANK YOU. I've been saying this ALL along. TWheat had 3 interceptions and ripped the ball out of Crabtree's hands on one of them. He had Crabtree's TD go through his hands also (should have gone for the swat since it was in the sun). We led big and TT rallied. Dizon had a pick 6 to put it out of reach.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that remembers that. We won because we had 2 2nd rounders playing. Polumbus was also playing and he's now in the league as an UFA as well.
Dizon had Harrell tied up in knots all game long. He'd fake like he was blitzing and then drop back, except when he really was coming. Basically took away the underneath passing game BY HIMSELF. Hypolite and Nicolas manhandled their interior. The only running play in Leach's playbook is that little middle draw. Never got by big George. T-Wheat just had to wait for the inevitable. Harrell trying to make something happen and forcing deep throws.
Great, awesome, UNBELIEVABLE game by those 3. Hugh had a decent game, as well.
Why on earth would anybody predict a CU victory over Colorado State next season?
Hawaii and Baylor are the only games that look like we have a halfway decent shot at winning. Everything else is a toss up or no-hoper.
Woah, temper your high expectations, I wouldn't go that far. Griffin is an animal. All he needs to do is watch Reesing/Daniel tape on us and he could have a field day.
Somewhat off topic, but we play at Hawaii in 2011, so we could schedule a 13th game (and another home game) the week before we play at Baylor, but we haven't yet. Since this program is supposedly hurting for cash so badly, why not bring in a 1AA school that weekend? Or a San Jose State or someone similar against whom we'll have an approximately 14% chance of winning?

Ha, true, but we did stomp TT in Boulder with B Jax at QB.

I say we get 4
CSU
Hawaii
KU
ISU
