Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn

We've got a great shot at Dunn, but he's likely a cornerback. Dunn's going under the radar because he hasn't gone to any camps. Kenny Stills just said in an interview that Dunn is the one corner who's been able to lock him down.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn

Seems like he could be a possible punt/kick returner as well.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn

yes.. they had to close it down for a whie, and it was just re-opened a couple years ago

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn (committed to Cal)

In an interesting turn of events... Davon Dunn was a surprise visitor this weekend after visiting Cal last weekend. Hmmm.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn (committed to Cal)

hmm, maybe some good news coming? with Spond and Jones coming back, that will give us 3 x 4*, it could be the makings of a decent class.

Might want to tap on the brakes a bit. The chances of us landing all three are slim IMO. One or two would definitely be nice though.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn (committed to Cal)

Adam from rivals talked to him and Dunn is not really interested in going to school that far from home. Despite the visit, he is not really considering us.

Does it really look like Spond and/or Jones will re-commit?

I have very little hope for Spond coming back into the fold. I think he is gone.

Jones is one to watch though. I would watch his recruitment all the way up until signing day because I could see him taking some more visits in January.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn (committed to Cal)

Davon Decommits from Cal (Rivals premium)

We lost out due to geography, hard to fight that:

\"I think I might go with Fresno [State] because I feel like that is the best fit for me,\" Dunn said. \"I am more comfortable with their staff, I am more comfortable with their players and atmosphere and it is a little bit closer to home, as well.\"

Dunn was in Boulder this past weekend.

\"It was good,\" he said of his trip to Colorado. \"I like Coach [Eric] Kiesau, their offensive coordinator that came from Cal. He is real cool. We had a long talk about how they were so close to winning so many games this year. They just need a couple more athletes with some speed, particularly at the wide receiver position. Colorado is a good school but it is just too far away for me.\"
He hasn't actually committed to Fresno State, FWIW. Also plans to visit UCLA.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn (committed to Cal)

He liked Colorado, liked Kiesau. He simply doesn't want to leave California.

You can't blame that on Hawkins.

His first move when arriving 4 years ago should have been moving Boulder to California... Jeeze. He should have known, you just can't recruit with any success this way. :smile2:

Merry Christmas AllBuffers.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn

Glad we paid for this kid's trip - I assume he has a map and knew how far away Boulder is from Colorado, what a waste.

Re: '10 CA WR Davon Dunn

On the Fresno State thing...

Has anyone mentioned that Davon Dunn's dad (David Dunn) played for Fresno State before going to the NFL?

Fresno had a lot in its favor on this one.

Committed to Fresno State.

But there's talk that CU isn't out of it.

Hmmm.
