Rivals reports that Brian Cabral is recruiting Banks for us and that we have invited him to camp with us this summer. At a recent Illinois prep event, Banks ran hand-timed 40s of 4.35 and 4.37 seconds. http://colorado.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1073515

Also, the Chicago Public League Sports Blog had this to say about Banks prior to Simeon playing in the prep league championship:

Banks is the main running component of the Simeon offensive machine. Banks is only 5-9, 165lbs, but as a junior I feel he is the best running back in the city. His main asset is elusiveness and quickness. he can shift on a dime and if he get's past the first tackler or two, he could breakout for a big run. He was hurt for a part of the season, but in the semi-final game against Robeson, he seemed like he was back at 100%. http://neilski.typepad.com/wwwlanetechfancom_blog/2009/11/simeon-too-legit-to-quit.html

Being injured part of his junior season probably slowed down his recruiting quite a bit. Not having ideal height hurts him, too. Sounds like he'd be a great back for the CU system and bring a ton of explosiveness.

hopefully we get some epic one liners
