CCG question regarding 2011

Since it isn't actually official we will start Pac-12 play in 2011 (although it is looking like that), yet Nebraska is for sure starting then. Does that mean if we do not start play and end up waiting until 2012 that the Big 12 wont have a championship game because we will only have 11 teams?

I believe it's going to shake out that CU leaves after only 1 more year in the Big 12. If there is a Big 11 season before it becomes the Big Tex conference, there would not be a championship game.

I wonder what it's going to cost the conference to get out of the 3-year contract extension it signed with Jerry Jones and Dallas Cowboys stadium?

A conference HAS to have 12 teams and two six-team divisions for a CCG. Unless they try to get the NCAA to change that, then this year will be the last Big 12 title game for awhile.

Theres no way that the Big XII is going to do that. We will be playing in the Pac in 2011. It is a scheduling nightmare if we don't go the same time as Neb.

Are you implying that an old Arky alum might just enjoy the chance to stick it to the Big Texas Conference??

There is a legal concept called "impossibility of contract." IF there is NOT a clause in the contract that addresses the situation, then the Big 12 has a defense.

Jerry Jones probably doesn't have a case here.

I read on shaggybevo (or whatever that website is) that there's rumors that Jerry is trying to influence the Big XII-II to invite Arky & ND into the conference so they can still have the championship game. As if ND turned down the Big 10 but will jump at the chance to join the pathetic Big Tex Conference.
And Arky is going to turn down their SEC money to bow down to UT?

Of course, there's also rumors of moving the OU/UT game to Jerry World in December to help offset the loss of the championship game.

The speculation here in OKlahoma is that the OU/Texas game will be moved to the 1st weekend in December, to be played in Jerry Jones' new stadium, as that will essentially be the conference championship every year anyway.

Nebraska could be held accountable for "damages" since the championship game will now be "off" for infinity. CU can't be held accountable for that loss in 2011

They're going to move the OU/UT game to Jerry World. It works out better for Jerry that way anyhow. That'll be one helluva game, fo sho. With nobody else in the conference that's worth a damn, it will certainly be for the Mack 10 championship.

Sure hope that it works out that these jackholes get screwed by the BCS...would absolutely love to see an undefeated little twelve team not get into the championship game at some point in the future.
