A source in the Colorado football program said wide receiver Andre Simmons has been ruled academically ineligible to play in 2010, though coaches are hoping he can earn a waiver from the NCAA this summer.

at least he has a redshirt season so we can work on saving that APR! Cause that is what Hawk is good at right?

Wow.

It wasn't too long ago that it seemed that we had strength and depth at both WR and RB.

All my PAC 10 excitement is gone. This season is shaping up to be just peachy. ****.

Same crap, different year. Mcknight and who else, clemons hopefully. We had depth and talent at the WR position finally and within a matter of a month, we lose 2 big talented wr's. Doing it the right way eh dan.....

Par. for. the. course.

The end of the Dan Hawkins era can't come soon enough.

Unbelievable. If ANYBODY from the AD or admin. says they are "doing things the right way", they ought to have their head examined.

This explains why Simmons was told to focus on schoolwork instead of practicing with the team this summer. I guess he's still participating in 7-ons and there's a chance he can get himself eligible during summer school.

More than anything, Simmons needs to get his academics in order to make sure he earns his degree. He's got a child he's got to take care of.

after all the hard work he put in to come... hopefully he can get everything in line by the end of summer
