More USC transfers on the way?

Per Ringo at buffzone:

"A CU source said Hawkins and his staff could bring several more Trojans to Boulder at some point in the coming weeks or months."

Anyone have any ideas? More immediate help?

Hah... He is completely ****ing desparate.....it is about time....

Hawkins better be desperate for getting more good players. But that's a good thing. The guy hasn't quit on recruiting as some of you suggested. He's finding players where he can and I got no issues with that. I got issues with wins in 2009 and how we played vs. CSU, Toledo, KSU, etc. But the guy keeps grinding on finding players and getting them in here. Only 1-2 casualties for 2010 class and RIchardson might fill that one nicely. Credit where credit is due. Let's not turn this thread into a Hawk Bashing please.

bring in more speed. and some mean-spirited mofos that will add a little toughness.

we need more attitude.

Say we do get some more guys from U$C, is it because CU is fixing to go to the Pac 10? Could it just be because CU recruited some of these guys pretty heavy out of hs?

I think a lot of kids out of HS do remember us, and there were a few battle where we did finish 2nd or 3rd.

If we could just win some games this year, combined with all the excitement over the pac 10, we might get a very good class. Forgot to mention to throw some more transfers with it.

Credit Hagan for these guys. Everyone of them talks about their relationship with Hagan.

It is some of that. The other part is there are few options at this time for recruits. Many schools are full up at the moment. I am sure some are waiting to see which schools have openings due to players not qualifying for admission.

I'm not sure who suggested Hawkins quit. I just think no one is really buying his recruiting pitch. His last few classes have been pretty disappointing.

The last few classes HAVE been disappointing, but given where we have trended in W/L's, expected. It's a very difficult sales pitch, so you have to go find guys who can play that have few other options. I won't name names, but yes, at least one prominent poster claimed Hawkins et. al. quit recruiting months ago. Clearly NOT the case.

CU has both open scholarships and playing opportunities for a few selected positions. You don't transfer from USC BECAUSE you want playing time, and then find out you are buried on the depth chart. CU has a few needs, and WR is a huge one that has just been helped considerably.

Meaner the better. I want tough ass dudes that will knock some people out like the late 80's and early 90's at the U. I want more bad boys on the team

Here's a few of the young men we were in on at one time according to the services that appear to be eligible to transfer under the exception made by the NCAA -

Ross Cumming http://usc.scout.com/a.z?s=15&p=8&c=1&nid=1915023

Marshall Jones http://usc.scout.com/a.z?s=15&p=8&c=1&nid=2364459

Ryan McMahon http://usc.scout.com/a.z?s=15&p=8&c=1&nid=3409729

Martin Coleman http://rivals.yahoo.com/usc/footbal...leman-46602;_ylt=ArExUVyOSXxQAQgXiSI3iG1SuZB4

Tyron Smith http://rivals.yahoo.com/usc/footbal...Smith-51634;_ylt=AvBu8lgtmcauN6rOCTuQ_xtSuZB4

I can't see any here I would not be interested in if they decided to bolt from SC. I haven't heard any specifics on anyone but it could be fun over the next few weeks to follow this development.
