best off campus parking for folsom? (scrimmage)

Saw this in the Daily Camera for Thursday's scrimmage:

"The athletic department is encouraging fans planning to attend the scrimmage to park off campus and walk to Folsom Field. The only public parking during the week is at metered spaces and university parking and transportation workers already have ticketed multiple cars outside the practice fields this week"

Any suggestions on where to park off campus? I take the bus to games and in attending scrimmages the past few years I've parked on campus right next to the stadium. Thanks in advance.

i'd say by that church off of folsom is a decent place...if i recall, it's the area kind of opposite the statute of a runner. then you can just walk up that street that leads to the CU rec center and voila, you are there. and if course if that for some reason doesn't work, parking in the neighborhood of arapahoe and 23rd or so and walk from there. those are my suggestions at least.

I usually park up near 15th and baseline. It's probably farther distance wise than the goss/grove neighborhood, but it's all downhill and you get to walk through the whole campus. It's a nice route for a nostalgia inoculation.

the hill, stop by the sink and grab a pizza and beer

OR

29th street and stop by the Harvest House for a beer

I think it's B.S. that we have to park off campus for an event that's happening after the work day and before classes start.

I'm reading this thread with a lot of interest, though, because I've got no clue where I'm going to park. Maybe in the Base-Mar plaza across from the law school.

they tow pretty regularly.

actually, the thing to do is cross over Broadway to 20th St....to the other side of the middle school that's across B-Way from the Law School. I lived at 20th and Cascade in grad school and the street parking starts to clear out in the afternoons. and you are a straight shot onto 36 after the game. on Saturdays or basketball games this spot is money. Thursday, might be a push. I would avoid the Base-Mar Center....they started having a rent-a-cop parking lot attendant once the new Law building opened.

You could try the Table Mesa park n ride and then grab a bus to the stadium. With them telling people to park off campus, you know every private lot's gonna be on alert to have people towed who don't belong there.

Thanks for the suggestions. How far of a walk is it from Harvest House to the stadium? Not as familiar with my Boulder geography since I moved from Louisville in the 90's.

I would park at 29th street mall and take the hop. It'll drop you off right in front of Folsom. I saw them painting the field while I was eating lunch today and I'm really starting to get excited. This is gonna be the year, I can feel it...

What time is the scrimmage tomorrow and where? CUBuffs.com says 12-3, but that doesn't seem right.

A runner? Are you kidding? A runner? HOW ABOUT FRANK SHORTER?! Jeez!! :smile2:

BTW, I drive in on 93, up Broadway to Baseline. Turn left (west) and go a couple of blocks. You can park just about anywhere in the neighborhood. Go down to 20th, turn right, and see how close to campus you can get.

I used to park up on the hill when I was in school...until some lame ass doosh bag totaled my car backing out of his driveway...but, I digress.....

I know. I had to take the afternoon off.
But it really is noon to 3 p.m.

And we really cannot park on campus...

other than that, see you there.

I swear that the first scrimmage time I'd see said it was at 5pm.

This sucks. I can't make it.
