Remember Brandon Banks?

He was that smurfy little WR at KSU - standing all of 5'7" and 150 lbs. He caught on with the Redskins as a punt returner this year. I went to the game last night and the kid returned a punt 76 yards for a TD.

The crowd and the bench went nutz! They showed him on the big screen sitting on the bench after the td with a big ole grin on his face and the crowd went nuts again.

I was actually quite moved - here's this WAY undersized guy - probably 21 or 22 years old - living the dream, getting props from everyone on the team. It was a great scene.

The best was when Trent Williams - the rookie OT from Oklahoma, 6-5 and 315, lifted him in the air. Funny and sweet at the same time...

I saw Ryan Torian (sp) caught on with shanny... I remember when all the talking heads on the radio were talking that kid up here as the next great RB in shanny's system before he had that nasty leg injury. Good Luck to them both!

To be honest, I think he really only had one great back and a bunch of good ones. Terrell was a pretty special player before his knee gave. I know he had a good oline but he was pretty damn good himself. Without him, Denver probably still doesnt have a bowl.

I had high hopes for Torain especially after he looked so good in his one game before tearing his ACL.

Didn't Banks get laid out by Walters and then he just jumped back up? I respected that guy since that play.
