Won't be the last thread on this, but with only 2 weeks to kickoff we need to get this rolling. :smile2:

If CU gets it rolling, I don't think Hawk will take his foot off their throats. Do you?

Buffs 38
Rams 21

Buffs pound the ball for the last 15 min. The rams get a trash time TD from a blown fumble call. Goodman misses a 48 and 42 yarder but makes a 35 in between giving us something to complain about in an otherwise well-played game.

I can't do it. I really can't. Damn you Hawkins, I can't even predict a comfortable beat down of our instate little brother aggie. Goddamit.

I was looking for the pain choice.

Voted for close CU win - mostly because my genetics simply will not allow me to predict a goat win. Damn, I wish that I could have more confidence in the team ...

CU 20
CSU 17

CU's offense can't seem to do much in the first game vs the rams under hawk. Their defense looks like **** against everyone else but look like the 85 bears vs CU. This should be a bigger margain of victory if you look at the QB, OL and DL positions but the coaching brings this much closer. I'm hoping for a blowout, the arrogance of some ram fans is worse than the team from the east of us.

With all the experience we have coming back and the talent difference in general, if we can't beat a lower-tier MWC team by 17+ then the coaching is even worse than we thought.

This all sounds eerily familiar to what we were all saying right about this time last year.

I'm not making any predictions. I have no clue what's going to transpire.

agreed.... I still don't see what the major improvements are from last year to the year that will change our record drastically....

I voted for the buffs because, as cinical as I am, I just couldn't vote against my beloved team.
If there was the option of voting for Hawk losing against CSU I would have picked that one.

The Denver media play up the brother versus brother angle again, whipping the rival fan base of two undefeated teams into a froth.

CSewe fans are uppity. CU fans are arrogant and grumpy. Liquor fueled stupidity ensues. Overly oppressive Denver Police with itchy taser and tear gas fingers stand at the ready.

Shoppers scour KMart and Target for Cinch Jeans.

The wedding china at the Hawkins household is bubble wrapped and boxed, just in case.

This is the closest either conference cellar dweller will get to a bowl game atmosphere.

Invesco is 80% full.

Off sides and poor kicking cause Buff fans to groan. Third and long is the theme of the day. Fairchild figures out how to exploits CU's defense for a score. CSU's return man takes one all the way back.

Long balls thrown from Hansen to Patterson, to Richardson and to Jefferson are tantalizingly close. But it's McKnight, Cefalo and Thornton who haul in TD passes. Speedy goes over 100 on the ground. Hansen throws for 240 and runs for 60.

CU 28- CSU 14
