A double-header of interesting games to watch in relation to CU:

First, ranked Pittsburgh (#15) plays Utah at 7:30 pm eastern on Versus. This should give us a good look at the Utes as we get closer to PAC 10 play, and will give us a chance to check out their team, stadium, attendance, magic underwear, etc... I'll be rooting for the Utes, our future conference partners - I'm not gonna hate them yet until they give us a good reason.

Late night, USC (#14) heads to Hawaii at 11:00 pm eastern on ESPN. Preppies vs. the Polynesians in the middle of the pacific ocean. In a perfect world, a volcano would erupt under Aloha stadium and swallow both teams alive. In the real world, I would like to see what Hawaii comes out with, then watch the teams beat each other into submission hurting each of their chances the rest of the season. Also, if we're extra lucky we'll see Lane Kiffin choke a player.

Only a few more days until real football starts....... Go Buffs.

NOOOOOOOO! Aloha Stadium is the last place where you can get beer (and margaritas and mai tais!) in the stadium. Plus, it was only a short mile walk from my housing on McGrew Point to the stadium! Awesome, awesome games to go to.

Sweeeeet...already looking forward to margaritas & mai tais in Aloha stadium a year from now!

Actually, stick with the beer. Along with the usual Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite collection, they also have Gordon Biersch on tap. The margaritas are waaay tart, the mai tais are pretty watered down and they of course are $$$$$. Byt there is a certain novelty to saying you had a margarita at a college ball game.

WTF do you want the warriors swallowed by a volcano, much less the same one as those ****head douchebag trojans? **** you asshole!

I don't know about 'Go Rockets,' but I will be watching any team go into Toledo on a weeknight for the net few years, hoping to see another abomination happen to someone else

Won't happen to Arizona since Greg Brown already watched one debacle and like hell he wants to watch another one while he's on the sidelines.

Friday night:

Arizona at Toledo.

Go Rockets?

Definitely.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend". The stench of the Toledo debacle might be eased if a fellow Pac-12 team suffered the same fate. We'll hear enough about Toledo when the Buffs join the league as it is. Cliche No. 2 - "misery loves company".

Will both games be on ESPN3? (formely ESPN360.com)

I recently watched a re-run of Utah-BYU from last year on the Mtn (God bless them...they do reruns of football games) and I agree with what Ute fans have said about the Utah-BYU series, both of those teams truly hate each other and to be honest, it makes CU-NU's hate of each other seem mild.

I am pulling for the Pac-10 and the Utes this year. If the Pac-10 plays a Big 12 team, that Pac-10 team will get my support even if it is UCLA versus Texas.

I am no longer loyal to the Big 12 because of how the opposing fans have treated us and how much verbal abuse we had to put up with them on the message boards and that is not limited to Husker fans.

Is making fun of someone's religion really necessary?

Lets talk football and leave religion out of it.

They make fun our our hippies/yuppies, I make fun of Utahs mormans/racists. What would college football be without a little old fashioned hate? (answer: Nebraska).

Also I dont really want a volcano to completely swallow Aloha stadium, just the playing field - it would just be a little easier to beat a team that was burned to a crisp a few weeks before our game

it's true we have to deal with all the stereotypes and pejoratives, too. just because sorority girls blaze once a year on 4:20 doesn't mean CU is the 2nd coming of the Haight-Ashbury....or that all the girls at CU have hairy pits, ham-like ankles and wear smocks to class. hasn't been like that since the mid 90's (the Clintonian Summer of Love).
