With all that was riding on today, is it the worst loss we have seen from Hawkins?

It sure has some stiff competition.

naw. Toledo, Montana State, CSU last year. The games against Mizzou.

This is up there tho

As bad as today is, I don't think it is the worse loss. How many of us actually expected to win?

I went with 0-58 vs. Mizzou. We should have known then.

This was one game that CU couldn't afford to get whipped in the manner that they did and I believe this will cost DH his job.

i vote this one solely because of the impact and lost oppertunity that was this game. this, as i posted in another thread was a great oppertunity for the Buffs to establish a connection with the alumni base in california with the impending move to the Pac 12. what was lost today will take a long, long time to get back. this is just awful for what the AD was hoping to build today. a win was not necessary. a competitive game was. they fell flat and in a big way.

This is the worst. It meant the most. It killed our west coast momentum. It killed any confidence this team had.

I haven't been this pissed off in a long time. After the spring and fall scrimmages, I was really hoping that the team would be better.

yeah. im not pissed. not suprised at all. i totally expect this from a dan hawkins team. its all just comedy now. it cant be anything else. he is an absolute clown. you just cant help but laugh.

I went with 0-58 to Mizzou, probably because it ended the scoring streak and it could have been 80-0. Unbelievable how we have to brace ourselves for at least one of these a year. Fire the coach, put Cabral in charge.

It was CLEARLY the mizzou game in 2007. The loss to Montana State could be forgiven in the sense that you are switching styles, etc. However, the Mizzou game was when jumped off the wagon.

Toledo was the game that exposed Hawk as a fraud. At that time, he was out of excuses.

That's the problem, there are so many bad losses under Hawkins. Let's see if we can do a recap:

2006:
10-19 Montana State
10-14 CSU
31-34 Baylor (3OT)
21-34 KSU
14-37 NU

2007:
14-33 Arizona State
20-47 KSU
10-55 Mizzou
28-31 Iowa State

2008:
21-39 Fla St
0-58 Mizzou

2009:
17-23 CSU
38-54 Toledo
6-20 KSU
17-36 Mizzou (down 33-0)
10-17 Iowa St

2010:
7-52 Cal

Those are just the games from a quick glance at past schedules. But really, how many games have there been where CU just didn't show up and were down so far so fast? Add another one to the list today.

Of course, we'll get the obligatory "just gotta clean a few things up" statement. Hawkins is ****ing joke (understatement of the year).

for me, this was the worst (comical) bad first half of the H era....followed closely by Toledo and MU last year (which i saw in person...so gets a little boost). Mizzou in 08 game was over on the kickoff.

today, the 1st and goal penalty fest and the pick six with 11 seconds left in the 2nd.....capped by the ridiculous final Cal TD.

I think that '07 KSU loss should be a candidate as well - that was a mediocre-to-bad KSU team and they just totally beat the crap out of us in that one...for the ones listed, Im going with Toledo for the national stage that game was on as well as the embarrassment of losing badly to a MAC team that had won 2 or 3 games the year beforehand...

The fact that this is the most evenly divided poll ever on Allbuffs should say volumes.

Did anyone notice Kansas rebounded and beat #15 Georgia Tech?

After one bad loss against a lower division opponent, Gill got his boys ready and came out and delivered.

After 5 years of bad losses, Hawkins just wants to clean it up...
