I Love It - Speedy Stewart Just Threw The Coaches Under The Bus

One theory he proposed is that the playing calling might be too predictable.

"It`s probably the formations we`re in," he said. "They probably watched a little more film and they know what our run packages are and things like that. So they just key on it a little bit more."
Stewart said he wasn`t necessarily disappointed with his performance at Cal because the Bears have a lot of talent on defense and are capable of stopping a lot of teams, he said.

Lol! - He's right though. The only time Hansen is ever under center we run the ball. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. They did it like 5 times in the game on saturday

At this point the offense is so bad they should just run the option with hansen and speedy....at least that way maybe Hansen could get his left handed pass to a CU player. I kid I kid.

You are right. The option is our only hope. However, I am confident this staff has no clue how to coach the option.

The RB coach could do it... but from I heard, the last time they installed some option Hawk overruled him on how to do it

Brilliant. Telling (arguably) the greatest option quarterback of all time (certainly top three with Frazer and Holliway) how to run the option. The guy is certifiably insane. No question about it.

I see two problems with that statement. First, calling out the coaching staff should be left behind closed doors, but I do enjoy that part :)

Second is this:

Stewart said he wasn`t necessarily disappointed with his performance at Cal because the Bears have a lot of talent on defense and are capable of stopping a lot of teams, he said.

Wasn't necessarily disappointed? Really? He should be f'ing pissed at his performance and want to do better. Is this the attitude of the whole team? "Well, they have a good defense, so there's only so much we can do" Accepting mediocrity? Where's the fight, where's the heart? Do you think Hagan or Stewart would have ever accepted a poor performance just because their competition was tough?

Not dissapointed with his performance? Oh my ****ing god! My head is gonna explode! This team has such a loser mentality. I am actually surprised we beat CSU now no matter how ****ty CSU is.

Ok, Hansen is mobile, but running the option requires a few more gears than he has. Might as well just stick Cody back in there because TH will get flattened sooner rather than later.

Why are you surprised? I'm sure Hawk told them how proud of them he was at half and after the game. That's always his story and it's no surprise that they players are brainwashed into that way of thinking.

It is official. The players are so used to losing that in the second game of the season they are already mentally prepared for the falling off of the cliff.

Don't you need a solid O-line to run the option? TH had no time to do anything on Saturday...don't know how the option would be doable.

As to Speedy's comment about Cal's great D, he's just looking for an excuse for why he couldn't break it...I think he averaged 2 yds. per carry.

The not-being-disappointed comment ****ing pisses me off. If this was a game against the ****ing New York Jet's defense you should still be disappointed. I don't care who you are playing, you should be disappointed and pissed off and ashamed at this performance. In ****ing middle and high school I would get so pissed at myself if I lost a game and I wouldn't want to talk to or see anyone until the next game when I could make up for it. I ****ing cared about how my team played, yet these guys seem to brush it off their shoulder within 24 hours and pretend it didn't happen. It did ****ing happen and you ****ing embarrassed yourselves and your fans. ****ing pathetic.

Cool down bro. I think you need to update your twitter account, have some In and Out and take pictures with the funny monkey.

I had some ****ing In-n-Out and I took some pictures and videos and I didn't have a funny monkey, but I had a great weekend goofing around, but i"m allowed to ****ing do that **** because I'm not on the ****ing team getting my ****ing ass kicked.

I wish our players cared as much as we do.

I think Hawk has completely lost the players-- whether they verbalize it or not, they will not respond to him or leave it all on the field for him. That's one true sign of poor leadership--when you're people stop responding.

Actually, the option was largely developed because you can run it with a crappy line

Yeah...Bob corrected me on that...except you still need the personnel to run an option and just because TH can run doesn't mean he can handle the option. You need a QB that can take big hits also.

Although that funny "pass" at the end of the game, when he coughed it up, looked like an option play...except it was going in the wrong direction.

Well, the wrong direction IS one of the options. Probably the least desireable option, but still an option.

This is the TOXIC attitude that hawk has instilled to every player in this program. They play poorly or average and they blow it off as either, we just need to tweak a few things or the other teams defense or offense caught us off guard etc...

Can you image bienemy, salaam or brown talking like this after a loss? Hawk has made losing acceptable and the players all act like it's no big deal. Scotty Mcknight has been the ONLY player to act even remotely pissed. It's a ****ing joke. The attitude on this team sucks.

TOO SOFT...

i remember it was either year 1 or two of the hawkins regime, but there were reports that barnett's left over players were getting really pissed off with the hawkins recruits for being too soft.

Hmmmm. All kinda sounds like Henry Winkler when he played the Head Coach on Waterboy and the whole team sucked and had the defeated mentality. Maybe if Coach Hack adopted the psychological mentality of visualizing his opponent as a puppy, it would give him the courage, strength and will to fight to defeat the enemy. Yea, yea that's it. I just solved all our problems. You can thank me later. LOL.
Go get em Danny boy
