Time for Plati to go.

I've reached the end of my patience with this guy. He has shown nothing but utter contempt for the fans, students, supporters and alumni of the University of Colorado. He is apparently under the delusion that he is more important than everybody else, and that his opinions are the only ones that matter. He needs to realize he's a fu*king EMPLOYEE of the University of Colorado, and that the people he holds in such contempt are the ones who pay his salary.

Hit the road, jackass.

He's just as passionate as we are about Buff football. He takes it personally when people go after the coaching staff.

We're all Buff fans. No need to go after each other. Can't we all just get along?

Plati is an arrogant douche. That said, the work he does for the school is top notch. Rather have Plati running things that some nice guy that doesn't have any investment in the school.

The fact the we are going at each other should tell all. Everybody, including you, wont go after the coaching staff when we dont see the same song and dance every week. I actually like Prince, think he was a good hire.

I used to think Plati was one of the best in the business. And in some ways I still think he might be. But a few years ago I had to switch from "he's one of the best" to "you know he bleeds black and gold. He just loves CU". And now I can't even defend him that way. You don't attack your own fanbase just because they don't happen to fall into line with whatever **** the AD gives them. As spokesman for the AD you just can't. And the last couple years it's a pattern with him. Step out of line and you face The Wrath of Dave. He either needs an attitude adjustment, like RIGHT NOW, or step aside for somebody who still has the professionalism to do the job the way it should be done.

he is still with CU? I was under the assumption that he had been coaching at Kansas up until last season....weird.

This is how bad it's gotten? We've finally grown tired of making fun of Hawk's quotes, so now it's time to call for the head of the SID?

I admit that Dave has been doing this a long time and HAS to know he must be careful with what he says. But come on! This asking for a refund is a joke (If the kid seriously wanted a refund then he should get over himself). Dave should have known enough to say something along the lines of, "the team appreciated the great fan support for an away game and is just as disappointed as the fans, that they played so poorly...yada yada yada".

But he needs to be fired? You guys are taking out your frustration on the wrong guy.

The guy is a douche. I've been saying this for awhile on here. He is regarded as nothing but a fat f*** by the players and "allegedly" has acted inappropriately towards female attendees of his journalism class, "allegedly," although I have second hand information otherwise.

However, he seems to be highly regarded by members of broadcast teams that visit Boulder, I can distinctly remember several saying Plati is "the best in the business." Perhaps remove him from PR (and teaching) duties and just let him provide statistics to broadcast teams and write his Platitudes.

Like we have the cash for that

Difference is he is paid to be a CU fan. By us (and other fans). Needs to watch his trap.

It's pretty ****ing funny. That damn SID has gotta go!!

To those who think Plati is irreplaceable, just relax. SID is an easy position to fill. Most schools simply dip into their pool of former players who've stayed connected to the school and have been successful after their playing days. Go grab one of the stars of the '90 team.

The last thing I want to hear from the SID is that a fan who's pissed off (like all of us are) is just looking for his "15 minutes of fame". Totally inappropriate response from a guy who absolutely should know better. This isn't coming from a guy who's been on the job for a week. It's coming from a guy who's been here since upChuck Fairbanks. He's seen the good, he's seen the bad. AND HE MUST KNOW BETTER. This is a pattern of behavior from him that is simply unacceptable to me. The fans pay his God Damn paycheck, and he acts as though they're nothing more than a nuissance.

Hit the facking bricks, doucherocket. Your services are no longer needed at the University of Colorado.

I've had one personal interaction with Dave Plati and I left it wanting to bounce his head off the pavement repeatedly. He is a condescending, self-important douche.

While there are aspects of his job that he does very well, nothing he does is rocket science. CU could find a capable replacement before Plati's chair stopped spinning.

:yeahthat:

He acts as though he's the only person on the face of the planet that can do his job. Here's a newsflash for ya, Dave: You're not that good.

He's doing more harm than good now anyway. Mike Bohn has to be literally screaming right now. All the work he's put in this last 9 months. All the glad-handing, the speeches, the appearances, the interviews - all up in smoke in the span of one week. All due to a couple of self important windbags who think they're more important than the school itself.

Talkins raved about plati for about 15 seconds on his suck***** show last night. I think they sleep together.

Wow, we are firing everyone today at allbuffs.

Yo, you of all people... Have you not been paying attention?!?!? When the place smells to high heaven it's time to clear house.

Oh... Wait. Wasn't Plati around for the Mac era? Another irreplaceable link to CU's glorious past?

Remove your personal feelings folks, Plati has done some incredible work for the school and for college football. He is one of our few brights spots nationally at the moment.

agreed for the most part but he is **** scared of the internet, appears to be fighting tooth and nail against the way media is changing, and often fails to hid his contempt for common fans. Are those fire-able offenses? I dont think so but as his boss I'd slap him around.

I'm a fan of Dave Plati's work, his work ethic and his principles. I even get his sense of humor.

Be mad at the right people ---
