Georgia lost a heartbreaker to the Razorbacks on Saturday. They're now 1 -2 and the peeps in Athens aren't too happy.
The Buffs, coming off a nice win, get a bye week and lots of time to heal and scheme.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Georgia has to go to Starkville and play a night game at Mississippi State, which is coming off losses to LSU and Auburn. CFN has Mississippi State ranked #45 despite the losses.
Both Georgia and MSU will be desperate for a win next Saturday -- the loser will be 0 - 3 in league play. It's going to be an extremely hard-fought game.
The week after the CU game, Georgia plays Tennessee in Athens. UT isn't any good, but it's an important league game, at home, against a traditional powerhouse. The Georgia players and coaches care a lot about that game.
It won't surprise me if the Bulldogs show up in Boulder a bit drained from the MSU game, and looking ahead to the UT game (especially if they won in Starkville). The Buffs will be rested and will have had two weeks to put together a game plan (i.e., figure out how to contain A.J. Green).
Any way you slice it, it's going to be a tough game for CU. But, the schedule lines up nicely for the Buffs. Add in the altitude and bit of hurry-up, this might not work out too badly for Colorado.
