Arkansas vs Alabama?

I think Nick Saban loses this game. It's probably the biggest game ever played in Fayetteville. If they can win this one and then at Auburn and at South Carolina they could run the table.

Mallett has been good, but Arkie hasn't been good enough to beat Bama.

you never know, but i'm taking Bama and laying the points (Bama is 3 for 3 against the spread)

Bama will intimidate and win. I would rather see Arky win, but I just don't see it happening.

Arky will NOT run the table, mainly because they will lose this game. Bama wins comfortably by 10 or so because Arky will not be able to handle Ingram/Richardson.

Bama certainly looks like the better team so far and I think that'll turn out to be the case on Saturday. This is definitely the game of the day, even though ESPN seems to think that Oregon State-Boise is.

Interesting prediction, but I don't think so. Bama just has too many race horses at all positions. They have a superior running game and Mallet can't do much damage sitting on the bench. They've got three backs all capable of running for over a buck any game. Penn State with it's defense couldn't stop them and that was two games ago. I think it is Bama that has a chance to run the table again and could repeat.

The SEC West has too many good teams for Bama to run the table. Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, plus Bama draws Florida out of the East this year. They will probably repeat as NC, but one of those teams is going to trip them up along the way. Saban is good but he's not Bear Bryant. Even if Arkansas wins they still have at Auburn, and at South Carolina, and finish up with LSU. Brutal!

Hawgs>stupid elephant that is somehow a tide.

I think the elephant is on its period or something. That must also be why it always looks so pissed off.

Interested to see what RazorBuff thinks.

Arkansas is going to have to score a lot to win this game. Bama's offense is better than it was last year and I'm not sure Petrino has enough quality athletes on defense yet. Should be a good game. CAn't wait to watch.

I'm going with Bama to win this, but I wouldn't be shocked if Arkansas pulls out a win. should be a good one to watch

Arkansas has a shot. We match up really well with Bama at alot of positions. We are deeper offensively everywhere except for RB, and we were able to shut down their running game last year. That's the key, if we can make our tackles and not let them eat up 8 minutes a drive then we have a shot. Arkansas actually also ranks in the Top 10 in total defense in the nation currently too, admittedly we haven't played great competition but our defense is vastly improved. Our special teams have been fantastic thus far as well. People forget that the Bama D isn't what it was last year. Bama all season has only gotten 2 sacks and I believe 8 TFL, ranking them near the bottom of the nation in both categories. Losing Cody and McClain, plus tons of other players, can have that effect on a D. They were so great against us last year because they were able to get pressure rushing 4 guys. They were able to get to Mallett while dropping 7 into coverage. Our O-line has done a much better job this year. Georgia only got to Mallett once, and they were blitzing alot of the game. Oh and it's a home game too. Not saying we win, but Bama isn't going to dominate like alot of people think, and it's going to be a slugfest.

Oh and another point. Penn State's very average O was able to get the ball inside the Bama 25 5 times during the game. They came away with one field goal and 4 turnovers. Arkansas will be better than that.

Oh and I appreciate the props. Biggest game in Fayetteville in 30 years I would say. However biggest ever game was the Game of the Century, the Big Shootout, where #1 Texas came from behind to beat #2 Arkansas 15-14 in 1969... God I hate Texas.

I'm not sure that LSU is that good, we'll find out more about them in the next few weeks. Florida doesn't appear to be anywhere close to what they were the past few years, and Bama gets Auburn at home. If Bama gets by Arkansas then their toughest game left could very well be at South Carolina.

Razorbuff-lets try and keep it real. You have a great QB and WR corp but your oline is just average at best. I think our 2nd string RB could start at guard for you [not that he isn't better than your rbs but watch him pick up the blitzes that will go for long gainers]. Your offense is one dimensional and I bet our coach knows that. Our best pass rusher was suspended for 2 games so don't put to much into those 2 games rush stats. We miss Rolo no doubt but the front seven is solid and your boy got rattled last year [lowest passing total at 180? yards] and expect it again this year. 57 is a stud and I expect him to have about 10 pressures on Saturday.

Our offense vs your defense is a joke. Your defense is the worst in the SEC except UK. Our first team can name the score on you and our 2nd team could put 40 on you. The reason you stopped the run last year is because you stacked the line and ginger threw for about 300 yards and 3 TDs on you in his 3rd start and they stepped off the pedal in the 4th quarter.

I really think it is going to be ugly. I think 20+ points.

ahhh, arrogance. should be interesting to see how right you are. And if you come back to eat crow if you aren't.

I still can't believe that ESPN is taking GameDay to Boise instead of Fayetteville this Saturday. I know they shamelessly plug their own networks' games but this is a reach to say the least. And the funny thing is there's 2 bigger games in the SEC alone than the one in Boise.

Boise State bandwagon they are driving.
