Does Cody go in if that game were in Boulder?

I doubt it. There would have been armageddon. Dan knew there were only maybe 20 or so CU fans in attendance, and that by that time, most CU fans had changed the channel to catch a food network challenge or something more entertaining. He knew the blowback wouldn't be much, so he did it. Look for something similar to happen at Kansas, where the game probably won't even be televised.

Jackass. I'm really starting to hate this guy. Up until now, I just really disliked him. I thought he was an incompetent boob. Now I'm starting to think he's pure evil. That he was sent here as a plant by Tom Osborne to kill the CU program from within.

Well the team might have shown up for the game if it was at home, so he wouldn't have needed a "spark."

Guarantee you he'll do it vs. Iowa State though so he gets his final nose snub in on the fans at the last home game. Damn, I'll bet Cody starts! He'll use the guise of Senior Day to justify his decision.

And we'll probably also be 5-5 going into ISU (after a stupid loss to KSU) with our last (realistic) chance to get to 6 wins for a bowl game, but D-2 will do it just to spite the university.

Take deep breaths and count to 10, navy. Maybe go for a relaxing walk. :smile2:

Cody most certainly would go into the game if it were in Boulder....Squawkins has proven to all of us numerous times that he doesn't give a flying **** about the fans or what us/Bohn/His Coaches think

This was Missouri we're talking about, here. They have had their way with us since Hawkins got here. They could have had all the sparks they needed and it still wouldn't have been adequate. Plus, it wasn't Hansen that lost that game, it was Riddle and Danny. Special teams, or a lack thereof, put us in a hole from which we could not extracate ourselves.

I hope Cody does not play in Folsom for any reason other than Hansen being hurt, because there will be boos and I hate that. The boos will be directed at D2 Danny, but that won't make it any better on Cody.

To be fair, I really wouldn't want a coach that isn't putting in players he thinks are the right men for the job just because the fans think otherwise. That said, I WOULD want a coach that generally wins with the decisions he decides to make.

I expect that DII Danny will do everything he can to make his record as good as possible so he can whine on a national level about how bad Colorado is when we (hopfeully!!!!!!) fire his *****.

It appears he is bent on making this as long and as painful for us fans. Rumors were that he would be gone if we lost to Hawaii - they pull it together. Rumors he could be gone if we lost to UGA - they win it and put all talks of removal to the end of the season...and then we get the predictable result at Mizzou. Sure wish there would have been the threat of immediate removal for embarrassing us again on National TV at Mizzou but no...

This clown has created a new column in the records for us: wins - losses - national embarrassments. We are currently 3 - 0 - 2 this season...hope the national embarrassments are weighed very heavily if there is any question come the end of the season.

While I agree that he doesn't give a sh*t about what we think, I still think he would hold off on putting Cody in that kind of situation. The stadium would go apesh*t. I think there might actually be people throwing stuff at him if he did that. It would get ugly.

:yeahthat:
Despite my rant above, I completely agree with 'Rino here. Cody has been nothing but a quintessential Buff in his time here. The head coach is the one who put him in the unenviable position he is in right now.

I cheered for him when we came into the game while simultaneously throwing insults at the coaching staff (Hawk, specifically.) I will always cheer for Cody but his father, eh, not so much.

If I can make it to the ISU game, I will stand up cheer loudest for Cody when gets introduced for Senior Day. Hell, I'll do it from the game watch if we're televised.

At first I was going to say you're overreacting, but knowing our student section and the history. I think the probability of them embarrassing the university once again would be high.

It'd be very high.

And it would be even more probably that it would be an embarrassment to the team and cody. That would link tapir taint.

Remember that it was Barnett's last home game at CU that things got ugly. Don't be shocked if Hawk's last game doesn't get equally ugly, if not moreso, depending on what kind of stupid sh*t he pulls. The guy is clueless, truly clueless. However, I still think he'll try to keep Cody from being put in that kind of situation, particularly as a senior. On the other hand, maybe Danny is such a dumbass that he doesn't know any better. I'm starting to wonder about my original comment now.

And if Hawk is true to his word, he woudl call the game right then. Didn't he say that if anybody acted the way the students acted in Barnets last matchup with NU, he wold call the game and forfiet?

Hahhahha... That would be the biggest riot ever.

At that point, he might literally be in danger. If he forfeited the game at Folsom in front of thousands that hate his guts, he would very possibly be physically chased out of the stadium and Boulder.

Agreed... It wouldn't surprise if someone burned his place to the ground.

I would love to see Cody in during the ISU game. That would be a classy move... We NEED to have a large lead going into the 4th Qtr and we NEED to play this Buff on Senior Day. A high-5 between Hansen and Cody tagging into play is a picture that we should all see, with a standing ovation from the crowd.

Although the pain he has gone through is much due to his own decision to attend the school his father was coaching, he has been an honest and true Buff... he should be treated that way.

Bringing Cody is was the right move. In fact, he should have done it sooner this year (at Cal).

I disagree - I would have liked to see us try some different things on offense before putting Cody in...and if the thought truly was that we would use him for a spark, I can accept it for a series but when it was obvious that it wasn't the answer (yep - could not have seen that one coming) then I would have put Tyler back in.

I would be all for it in that situation. Hopefully it comes to pass.
