Kansas vs Kansas State

I tried to watch and realized I just don't care. I'd be watching if it was a P10 matchup, though.

OK, admit it: You wanted CU to hire Turner Gill, didn't you?

Guilty - but I don't see the way KU's playing now as a long term thing - they were going to be rebuilding anyways this year, regardless of who their coach is...

I understand rebuilding, but this is ridiculous. The fat man recruited some talent to Lawrence. I really don't think they should be this bad.

I guess I'm just glad to see their QB has graduated. That kid killed the Buffs.

We pounded Reesing last year...

Gill is a good coach. But this year the Buffs better get a W added to their stick after their game with the Jayhawks. If not Hawkins may as well not even turn into his driveway on the way home.

KU will come along and have some success in a year or two.

Does Snyder's success help McCartney?

It certainly doesn't hurt.

This game is also blacked out on FSNRM, so it's not just CU games that they're blacking out. It still makes no sense why they're doing this, but whatever, there's plenty of other FSN channels to watch these games on.

Not on Comcast. I'm watching it on FSNRM right now.

Gill's a class act. I'm not impressed with what he did at Buffalo, though. He hadn't proved much as a head coach, imo. I felt he got over-hyped because he's such a good guy, had some success, and there is such a shamefully low number of black head coaches in the college ranks. Flavor of the month type thing.

Not really though, since Lawrence wasn't burned to the ground. Sure Mangino's departure wasn't pretty, but KU started 5-0 and was ranked less than 12 months ago. Gill shouldn't be struggling this much, especially when the Big XII is down this year.

2006 Colorado = 2010 Kansas...

Not that I necessarily buy the analogy, but keep in mind CU was 7-2 and ranked in 2005 before the wheels fell off.

Turner Gill=Troy Calhoune=Dan Hawkins

Find the OC from a major program and give him the job. Enough with chasing the "hot" guy from the nowhere school.

I wonder how many KU fans wish they still had Jabba the Hut.

Dang, I've been looking at the KU game as a road game even Hawk should go in and win. But based on our road record, don't you think KU is now pointing to the CU game as the game they should be going in to win? Gives me a bad feeling to think about it...

Sorry, year 5 and gill's first year, they are awful. On the other hand, beating k-state at home doesn't look as good.

And don't forget that KU has already beaten a decent Georgia Tech team at home.

They probably got tired of Mangino using all their towels as toilet paper. (Yes, that is entirely true!)

did KSU play that awful last week or was nebraska that good. It seemed like nobody from KSU could get off a block and plug the running lanes. They looked like a different team last night.
